DISGUSTING. RUN. CON ARTISTS! We arrived in Pisa on the train from Lucca and stopped in here for a coffee and snack. We ordered at the bar and the barista then ENCOURAGED us to sit down. They brought us one cappuccino, two croissants and one small panini. To start with the panini was DISGUSTING - the prosciutto tasted old and... More

They charged 30 euros for 2 rolls and 2 small beers. When the price was questioned they just shrugged their shoulders. They would not produce a price list to back up the charges. I can see from other reviews this has happened before consistently over many years. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, IT IS SITUATED A SHORT DISTANCE FROM PISA RAILWAY... More

Located across the from the central station. I was a little early, so I stopped at one of the outdoor tables for a small beer. The place is nothing special just a cafe with a counter and a few tables. When I asked for the bill, I was given a chit for "various" Euro 8.20. I asked the server is... More

We arrived in Pisa this morning and are finding our way around so wanted to stay close to the hotel as it's getting dark and we are two women travelling so didn't want to be wandering too far in the dark. We spotted this place and it looked busy so we thought it was a good sign and decided to... More

At the time of writing there are 257 English reviews, of which 231 rate it as terrible and 15 poor. Only 4 of those 257 reviews rate it as above average (and of the 580 reviews in total, 476 rate it as terrible and 47 as poor). That really says it all. Like the previous reviewer, I regret not reading... More

We were at Caffe Gambrinus a day ago, shame I did not read any reviews! We had our 3 years old daughter with us and she was really thirsty so we literally left the main station and tried to get her a drink as quickly as possible. Once there we also ordered coffee and a couple of small sandwiches. The... More

Caffe Gambrinus is one of the nearest cafes to the station which must be how it stays in business. We were also grossly overcharged and then refused a receipt.

We wanted a quick meal near the hotel and called here on our way back from Florence. Should have seen the warning signs, no prices on menus, also little black flies in the air. Service seemed OK and we ordered two beers, two house wines and two plates of tagliatelle. Small plates of average food appeared about 15 mins later.... More

Paid €24 for 2 coffees, 2 croissants and 1 panini. We found much cheaper cafes closer to the tourist attractions. Also not clean at all and served by 2 impolite women. A real terrible dirty place.

The average price for a beer in Pisa is 4-5 Euros. The Brewmaster charges only 3. At this place it was 8.20!!! When we complained,, they said they charged an extra 2 euros a beer to pass it 5 foot from the bar to the table. Steer very very clear of this place
