Went here on strong recommendations and we loved the restaurant's ambience, the menu and the wine list. My wife's pasta with mint, fresh capers and almonds was unique and quite delicious. The other two of us ordered a Florentine bisteca that arrived at the table completely overdone! Now, that's considered a crime in Firenze....nobody eats their steak well-done here. I... More

We were referred to this restaurant and from the other reviews and photos thought it was going to be a small local gem. Boy we were wrong. It's basically all tourists and huge/ multi level to accommodate very large tourist groups. The food was very bad as well - very heavy oil and over cooked pasta and the gnocchi with... More

I visited this restaurant with 2 friends following an advice of a friend of mine. The interior is very pretty, it offers an original atmosfere full of local florentine charm. The service was good and staff was friendly. We ordered Crostini di fegatini (croutons with chicken liver paté), 2 Chicken haunch grilled with lard cream and a Steak Tartare. The... More

I was taken here by a friend who had visited this restaurant six months prior. She recommended me to try the gnocchi with cheese sauce and shaved truffle. It was absolutely amazing! I would recommend everyone to try this dish!

This place is awesome. My friends and I stumbled upon it in Florence and were pleasantly surprised. The bruschetta with goat cheese was absolutely amazing, and so was the pasta. I also loved that everything could be made gluten free, which was such an excitement (being a Celiac in Italy). Our waiter was so nice and helpful, and recommended a... More

The ambiance is wonderful, the Chef is a magician and the waitress was impeccable. We had a wonderful time. Would return in a jiffy. The food was just right and service was courteous and consistent, although the place was packed.

Quite touristy place. Very good service, maybe a bit slow due to heavy affluence when we were there. The bistecca was clearly overpriced for what it was. Seasons vegies not convincing either. Great tiramisu. Get a table far away from the entrance during winter months...

Visited the restaurant for lunch following a recommendation by hotel concierge. The food was amazing, the best we ate in Italy. Couldn't believe the flavours . The meals were a little pricey compared to other restaurants but was certainly worth the experience.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us and we loved it so much we had dinner here both nights in Florence. We arrived right when they opened both nights and had no problem getting a table. The service was good (not overly friendly) and the prices were very reasonable. The food was delicious! We had the vegetable soup (our favorite),... More

Recommended by our B&B we went to try the Cipolla Rossa for supper on our first night. A bustling bistro close to the centre the welcome was warm and friendly. Good for gluten free people. Over the three nights we tried a wide range of main courses and sampled starters and puddings. We kept mostly to meat; pork, veal and... More
