Oh my goodness! Met another couple here for dinner. Had the Bistecca Florentine. I was skeptical that it was going to be that good Carlo… it was THAT good. Tender. Great flavor. And our Chianti was another good life choice.

A beautiful restaurant. Seating is not my favorite as I do not care to sit on a small stool for dinner. The menu offered more than just steak, although the steak was delicious. The zucchini flowers were yummy. We tried two different bread soups and...both were flavorful and substantial. The filet was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. The roasted potatoes were amazing. The service was friendly and professional.More

We are staying in Oltrarno, Florence for a month and trying new places every day. We stumbled upon this trattoria while out walking around and decided to give it a try. We ordered ravioli with beef, tagliatelle with meat sauce, and side orders of spinach...and onions with Parmesan. The service was okay, she forgot our bread and charged us for it- no big deal. The pasta was literally under cooked. Nowhere near al dente, maybe hit the water for a minute. My ravioli was below average. The vegetables were fine. As Americans, we felt it best to not send the pasta back but I wish we would have. Definitely not a place to recommend, and quite pricey for average food. We have no problem paying $50.00 for lunch but it better taste like authentic food from Firenze and this did not.More

If I could rate them less, I would. We had a reservation through the hotel and arrived 5 min early. The place was 20% full and we were given a table with a small stool. When we ask to switch for a chair, which there...were many available, we were rudely told that they couldn’t. We asked for a different table and got the same response. The host was unwilling to do anything about it and had an attitude that showed he didn’t care. We left.More

we wanted the Florentine steak but unfortunately, the piece they offered was with too much fat which for us would be a waste. Nevertheless, we had another great dish "filetto di manzo all aceto balsamico e rucola" which was fabolous and a delicious local wine,...2017 Antinori Chianti Classico Villa Antinori Riserva. We sat outside in the garden, loved the atmosphere, rustic and full of life. I would definitely come back here again.More

We went to All'Antico for the 'bisteca fiorentina'. We got really good advice on how much we should order for our group. It seemed (too) much at first, but was perfectly right. Great side dishes for a real reasonable price. An extended wine selection. Service...was professional and sufficient: just right. I highly recommend this restaurant and love to come back for other great dishes on the menu.More

It was suggested to us by a local person. Make sure you reserve a table as it is very busy for a good reason! The penne with zuchini flower was very good and so was the local wine which also came at an excellent price...(12 euros for 750ml). The bistecca alla Fiorentina was very good and cooked "rare" as ordered (maybe a little bit too raw....). BE CAREFUL. Rare is actually rare and really red inside! For those who like it more cooked, the chef offered to do it, ensuring that we were all pleased. No space for sweets so really no comment on that. Highly suggested!! In terms of setting, the restaurant does not have a view or anything attractive around. It is located in a pretty busy street which does not seem to cause any problem in the food experience though.More

We got the recommendation from a person who has grown up in the inner city of Florence and who regularly returns there - a true insider recommendation. As told to us, the (outdoor) section is nice, but looking on to a road, not so busy,...so the view isn't splendid. However, this is no disadvantage as you will only have eyes for your plates and glasses anyway.... The antipasti are fabulous (enjoy the mixed cuts platter) and people particularly go there because of the 1kg and over Bistecca Fiorentina (kind of a huge T-bone steak) which you may share for 2-3 people. The suggested piece will be shown to you, and if too large / small you can ask for a change - and then grilled to perfection. PLEASE - never complain here that your meat was still rare in the inside, otherwise you will just unmask your ignorance - no somehow decent cook will ever grill this very precious cut longer and allow it to be destroyed :-) Enjoy the regional wines, they have a very decent choice in all price ranges. The service was very attentive and warm, but funny - we had a very nervous trainee who about got everything wrong - with a senior person decently observing in the background and correcting all in an instance.More

A group of 14 people, 4 families, not easy to handle... especially on a saturday evening.... We had a minor issue on the reservation - immediadely solved with creativity and responsiveness THANKS A LOT! Great food, great appetizers, great main pasta courses and desserts, the...best Fiorentina T-Bone steak we never had (4 steraks = 6 kilos :-) ) But what we should emphasize here is the courtesy and the attention, the focus and the responsiveness of the Team at the Restaurant, especially with Sonia and Pietro always at our table asking to offer support ... Special treatment by the owner Stefano, also often visiting us during thi gerat dinner, to be sure everything was going excellent... A big mistake not to come back soon to taste great food and a great atmosphere and attention to us. Grazie a tutti Paolo e gli altri 13 di TorinoMore

Una simpatica brigata Ci vediamo quando tornerete a Firenze Saluti da tutti Stefano Cambi

We wanted to visit this charming little place since we watched Rick Steves travel guide about Florence. He advertised the Tuscan cuisine very well. If you really wanted to experience a real Tuscan atmosphere, Cambi was your place. The restaurant was place quite far from...the centre. We didn’t have any reservation and we were lucky to get a small table for two inside the restaurant. The whole interior design was very traditional and rustic. Our waitress was truly professional, welcomed us with a great smile and explained all. There was no doubt to try their Bistecca alla Fiorentina. The beef was very tender, juicy and prepared to the perfection. We also had a plate of local cold meat and antipasti, fried tomatoes and zucchini flowers. Their house wine was exceptional too. We spent there a lovely evening, full of memories and the bill was acceptable to the quality and the service. We hope, that one day we will return!More
