Gianni made us feel at ease and very welcome offering help with our Italian whilst ordering from the exceptional menu. The food was fantastic and the setting just right. We were not rushed and there was interaction with everyone else of all nationalities eating in the restaurant. We highly recommend a visit ... or two!

We so enjoyed this restaurant for dinner, we had lunch there the next day. Lovely to sit outside. Service was great - Johnny the best! The meatballs and sauce were spectacular.

Our favorite dinner experience while in Florence. The owner Johnny was the nicest guy we met during our stay. Take his advice on meal suggestions and get his stew and mashed potatoes! Make sure you eat the olives that come with the bruschetta and splurge on dessert. You won't be disappointed with this authentic Florentine restaurant!

All of us took a different dish and all of the plates looked VERY tasty. I had the feeling you can choose just anything here and - you will enjoy it. We were served generous portions, with a smile and the typical Italian charm. Do not skip the sweets here, either! :-)

We had a wonderful time here for dinner! The owner Johnny is also the main cook. He suggested traditional Florentine dishes, beef stew with mashed potatoes and homemade fettuccine with shrimp and zucchini. We took his advice and got these for our entrees and started with the meat and cheese platter. The food was FANTASTIC! The meat and cheese platter... More

Had the Bruschetta to start and the I had the chicken and steamed rice and my wife had the tomato spaghetti and meatballs, both meals were hot and very tasty. Had a couple of beers and then the Limonchello came as a treat at the end of the meal. Paid 44 euros - in line with all other restaurants.

We were hungry, tired and verging on grumpy when we luckily landed at Trattoria Camillo Cavour on our way to the Academie - we'd been on the train from Rome and were weary travelers. Grateful that we found this lovely place - great food and fantastic staff and service!! Thank you for taking care of us!!

My Italian friend and I ate at this so called 'Trattoria' on Saturday evening and we ordered Carbonara pasta and chicken in breadcrumbs. I requested the chicken well done. When the food arrived I discovered to my horror that it was cooked from a frozen chicken breast in breadcrumbs which you can buy in the frozen section of any supermarket.... More
