We enjoyed several great coffees and delicious red wine here. Service very friendly and a fun place to stop at the end of the day

Very good gelato and coffee. It was a nice break in a good location. Can sit outside and watch people go by.

It is advertised as a bar. We stopped for a glass of wine after touring Florence. The waiter pressed us to order food but we didn't want to eat just then. Our mistake was not asking the price of the wine. The bill was 16 Euros for two glasses. Two women ordered a plate of food & nothing to drink.... More

We were overcharged triple the stated prices. When we complained and tried to pay the correct amount they blocked the door and broke a plate that they slammed on the counter, demanding to be paid the trumped up bill. Very scary experience! We had to leave as we had an appointment and tickets to a museum or we would have... More

This place is a total rip off. We paid 10 euros EACH for some ice cream with a wafer stuck in the top. Yes, 20 euros for two ice creams. There was no menu so I hadn't checked before we sat down, but there was a card by the fridge saying ice cream starting at 2 euros. In my innocence,... More

It is written that the price of a sandwich is 4 euros but you pay it 7 euros ! The same for the icecream : 2,5 euros versus 5 euros ! It is a shame ! Don't have a lunch there ...

We thought this place looked unpretentious and a good place to stop for a coffee up a small side street with a few tables out on the street - unfortunately we came out 24 euros worse off after 3 small coffees, a dry cake and a cup of diced watermelon. Such a pity as if not such a rip off... More

We don't always check tripadvisor when we just stop for a drink but in Italy, it's absolutely necessary if you want to avoid rip off places like this one. The waitress didn't bring a menu (none was posted outside like most honest places do...) but since we just wanted a drink, we ordered right away. As soon as she left... More

We thought to arrive in a sympatic local coffeebar. We ordered two coffees and a sandwich each. The bill was 26 EUR! A big shame. Don't go there!!!!

Most of them are good in terms of quality of food. But, as for the services quality, it depends on your luck. I have had a bad experience in a restaurant rated 4 and half stars offered by Trip Advisor. When paying the bill, the billing was $88.5 (euro). I did pay the waiter $100, however he returned me only... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
