I googled "best aubergine parmigiana in Florence" and this restaurant came up. Little did I realise but my friends and I had been to the same little restaurant last year after a trip to boboli gardens. It's just a short walk from the pitti palace and the food was lovely and the restaurant surprising quiet. The aubergine parmigiana was really... More

Quaint little shop that I'm sure most people walk past with out looking at twice. Had a nice pasta and risotto with a carafe of wine for a reasonable price. Seemed somewhat authentic and was also delicious. If you are in this part of town it is well worth a visit for lunch.

We enjoyed a quiet little meal in the afternoon at this beautiful place. The owner is very nice and would do anything to make you feel at your best. The food was tasty, freshly baked. The place is clean and very welcoming. I recommend!

This is a little quiet elegant gem for good food and sedate surroundings. Away from the brash and gaudi tourist tread this spot serves decent fresh tasty food with care and friendly service. Forget your pizzeria no pizzas just wonderful home cooked bruschetta lasagne mushroom tagliatelle and more. Slip in for a red and good food

About 250 yards from our hotel, this wine bar cum restaurant, gave excellent service, really good house red (Chianti) and delicious food. Really delicious food, and at a fantastic price, way lower than 100 yards further closer to the bridge. I would go back like a shot.

Only a short walk from the busy tourist areas this small wine bar/restaurant was a superb find and is totally recommended. We were looking for somewhere to have a light lunch and some wine without the extortionate prices charged by some in Florence. Large platter of meat and cheese with rustic bread and a bottle of Chianti for 32euro! Excellent... More

O'14 restaurant is just few minutes walk from palazzo pitti and it is a good choice if you want to have a quick lunch relatively on a budget. the prices are quite moderate considering that you are in florence and you can't really expect to have lunch for 5 euros. If you are looking for quality and an unforgettable meal,... More

We are three couples and looked for a place for supper on a Friday evening. Our meals were excellent and the owner/host was very personable. This establishment is well worth your consideration for a great meal.

We liked the location, wine was great, food was ok; the antipasti were very nice with a spiced salami; the lasagna was good but not very special. The chicken was really good. Since it is primarily a wine bar, the wine should be the focus. We (the adults) enjoyed a very nice chianti DOCG and it was delicious.

Just past the Opera House you will find Piazza de Felice. Don't pass Oltrarno 14... Go in and eat! The eggplant Parmesan is amazing! Creamy and delicious. We had the pleasure of speaking to the owners...she cooks and he serves. The house white wine was excellent. It was a terrific visit from beginning to end. Look for "Wine and Food"... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
