Unfortunately for my waistline, I ate A LOT of Gelato over the course of ten days in Florence. Gelateria dei Neri came out on top. The Gelato was the best. The atmosphere made it taste even better. Servers in white shirts, yellow ties, and paper hats scooping liberally and with a smile. The low prices brought home its top rating.... More

We came here on a food tour and although the selection isn't as big as some of the other gelato places, the flavour and freshness of the gelato makes up for it. Do try when in Florence...

In a sea of gelato restaurants closing whenever they feel like it, you can depend on Gelateria dei Neri to always be open and busy. I've been there 3 times in the last 4 days and I'm not sad that the other places were closed. The owner is always smiling while serving customers and is more than generous with the... More

The ice cream is good but i think there are other gelaterie that can be better than this one. They have a lot of flavors, i tried rice ice cream and i think vivoli's rice ice cream is much better. The caramel one was good.

While on a tour in Florence, we had some time to ourselves and wanted to continue our quest of trying a variety of gelato in Italy. We wanted to leave the main square where our guides had made recommendations and found a recommendation online to go to Gelateria de Neri. It was hands down the best gelato we have had.... More

Excellent quality Gelato. Great selection, we've tried several (Nutella, pistachio, marscapone, etc.) and all were rich but not too sweet. The 2.50 Euro cup size per person was the right portion and you can get 2 flavors per cup! Service with a smile and cozy seating are pluses. 5 minute walk from the Palazzo Vecchio = double plus.

I love Gelateria dei Neri. They have a great selection of flavours to choose from and the employees are very efficient! It's amazing to watch them gracefully handle the bus loads of people who visit this place everyday. My favourite flavours (which you should definitely try) are crema di buontalenti (very light - first type of gelato ever made so... More
