We tried some of their house specials risotto casa, and two pasta dishes. All were very tasty and a good value. They also open at 6:30 PM so if you are hungry early it is a good option.

It took some time to get into the restaurant (it opened at 19:00 instead of 18:30 like advertised on the entrance / google maps) but it was worth the wait. It's a cosy restaurant near the cathedral and the food was quite delicious and not too expensive. The limoncello for the goodbye was also welcome

Cozy, friendly, fresh, delicious, family run, authentic even in the middle of a touristy area, in one word: great. One of the best in downtown Florence where it is difficult to find such an authentic place. Highly recommended.

Cute little Firenze restaurant with lots of buzz and great local food. After a week full of pasta, we tried the veal and beef. Cooked to perfection with fantastic flavours, served on an iron plate with roasted potatoes. Yum! The dad and daughter are in the kitchen and mum and son out front. Best to book.

This restaurant was the highlight of the meals on our last trip to Italy. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went twice! It was by chance that we came across I' Mangiarino and the rustic menu won us over. Admittedly, the service was a little slack, but the quality of the food more than made up for... More

The restaurant is very small but full of character. I suggest booking in advance. The starters were amazing especially the Carpaccio, which was one of the best I had in my week in Italy. The big problem is with the service. An old lady was trying her best to serve all the tables, and she was trying her best to... More

Had reservations for 8 pm, seated promptly....then it started to decline. The son of the owner was too busy with 2 young girls seated after our arrival to pay any attention to us, even though mom pointed out that we were waiting. He finally came to our table 15 minutes after being seated...we placed our order. Food was good and... More

We arrived without a reservation but were happy when we managed to get a table after a short wait. However, our experience of the food was mixed. We started by sharing the Crostini Del Mangiarino which was absolutely delicious, followed by pasta with wild boar sauce for me which was so tasty and had lots of flavour. However, my friend’s... Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
