While highly recommended for vegetarian and gluten free foods, this place stands on its own when presenting meats as Well. Right on one of the main thoroughfares of Florence and close to the Musei de academia, this small cozy restaurant is a winner. It's attached to a hotel so gets a lot of guest traffic. We came in on a... More

We chose the tasting menu which came with three matching wines. The food was outstanding - fresh ingredients, perfect seasoning, flavours, traditional delicacies and good portions. I had the vegetarian menu, and it was some of the best vegi food I have ever tasted. The locally produced wines went beautifully with each of the courses. They offer allergy/gluten free/vegan options... More

My wife and I still talk about the orecchiette we had here in 2014. There was something so soulful and flavorful about that unassuming dish that I have not been able to experience before or since in pasta. In our conversations about food, that's become our reference point for pasta. The lamb lasagna was good, too. Oh, but that orecchiette...... More

We went here on a Monday night and had the trading menu which is two large starters a main and dessert, so come hungry. It came with three matching wines (and a very enthusiastic sommelier) all for 40euro a head. This was very unique and rivaled some of the Michelin start dishes we have tasted, don't be put off by... Had a long wait but decided to stick with it given the fantastic reviews. Was well worth the wait. The food was unique and delicious. The staff was very friendly and made sure the kids were entertained. Would highly recommend.

The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and lovely food. Different cuisine when compared to the places around. The menu has multiple vegetarian options, but enough meat-options to give you options if you are not a vegetarian. The food tasted excellent and you could feel the freshness of the ingredients. Totally worth the visit, I went twice and... More

We came here for lunch as my mum is coeliac and we absolutely loved the menu! Its a great place for meat lovers, vegetarians and coeliacs so you get a bit for everyone. Our waiter, whose name was Federico was very friendly and very skilled. We could see from where we were seating how he made the starters and desserts.... More

The food here is good, nothing exceptional, but a good place for lunch. If you really have to have vegetarian food, they've got it here; though that is not all you can get. I had the pasta with olives (a few too many) and my wife had a decent tasting soup. The staff was friendly and efficient too. There is... More

Went here 2nd Christmas Day. Menu was limited but I liked the (vegetarian) options. Had an artichoke lasagna and seitan. Partner had cabbage flan and turkey leg. He liked it but didn't think it was AMAZING, just very tasteful ;) The real selling point for me was the cheesecake. Never had better cheesecake in my life. Would go back to... More

Description
We are located in the historic center of Florence, between Piazza del Duomo and San Marco and we offer a simple and tasty cuisine, made with the freshest ingredients of the highest quality. We owned a small farm in Reggello that provides us vegetables, fruit and extra virgin olive oil certified organic by ICEA. For this reason our menu is seasonal and changes every three months according to the production of the garden. The focus is on offer vegetarian dishes and great attention is paid to the Gluten Free offer, almost everything on the menu is suitable for people with celiac disease! Limited offer of meat, but always available in most traditional recipes:)

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
