Close to Porta San Gallo, Tito is maybe the best trattoria (eatery) in the area. Very friendly staff, who like their work. Amazing atmosphere - a lot of jokes and humour. Easy communication. About the food - unbelievable. We tasted a real Tuscany food.Home vino...More

We had a nice lunch with the family and in particular we loved the liver pate crostini that we had for starter and the typical steak from Florence so called Fiorentina. And dulcis in fundo I enjoyed a chocolate gluten free fondant.

Visited on vrbo owner recommendation. Authentic. Wonderful food. Staff immediately announced my family by my first name bobby to the restaurant. By the end of the meal we drank a full bottle of limoncello and toasted with all the staff multiple times. Great italian experience!!!

The service was extremely efficient and kind and the food was distinctly local and delicious. We went for the latter reason and we were not disappointed. Between the three of us, we had rabbit, wild boar, and Florentine steak. The vegetables we ordered, green beans...More

San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a
stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence,
surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking
students provides the tranquil surroundings for the
elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read
the daily newspaper. Home to several universities,
including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one
of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A
