I went there while away on business and went there by myself - it was late in a day but they received me well and even though the English wasn't their best it didn't matter because the food that their brought out was excellent- large portions and delicious. Selection of vines are great.

Not really fair to review an Italian restaurant on the basis of one course, but it was our first day in Florence and after travelling we only felt like a light meal. So we had a pasta primo with a half litre of the house red. We were offered a table in the small garden at the back and had... More

We got there late in the evening, hungry after a long car ride. But, we were welcome and even got a fantastic bisteca fiorentina with yummy oven baked potatoes. Good music too, not the regular Italian Pop.

Our friend ranted and raved about this restaurant so we had to try it. This little local gem is perfect! We walked in and it felt like home. All the staff were so welcoming and nice. The house wine is so good and the hot tomato mozzarella salad is to die for. We invited another couple that we met on... More

I'm from Florence and I went through the effort of joining TripAdvisor to write how bad this place is. Can't talk about the steak because I did not taste it, but the meatballs smell like feet, and my girlfriend was sick after eating their day "special". Avoid this place if you have any taste for good food, wouldn't even be... More

Our first meal of our holiday the place was quite small and down a side street - the place was quite busy. We were served quite quickly and the menu was varied. My daughter and I enjoyed our pizza but was disappointed with the wine.

This was such a lovely little place. Completely unpretentious, but amazing food and a terrific wine list. We had the Florentine steak, which though amazing, was too much for us to finish. Either share it with more than two people or except that you'll leave some behind. The owner and staff were welcoming and helpful. We shared the special pasta,... More

Small authentic restaurant with excellent menu, nice wines, very reasonable prices and very nice people. A highlight.

We had dinner there last tonight and it was remarkably good. We arrived at 8 to an empty restaurant, and were asked if we had a reservation. It was Friday night. This was reasonable. We didn't, but were seated in this tiny place, which filled shortly after we were seated. Our meal was fantastic, the prices were a bargain for... More

Sergio, the proprietor welcomed us into his humble and authentic tratoria for a scrumptious dinner and fabulous wine. The server translated the menu to English and provided us with our own off-menu special of house-made pasta with fresh porcini mushrooms. No complaints.
