Best gelato in Florence. Fantastic flavors, both classic and experimental: from pistachio to coconut, frutti di bosco to mango. Five kinds of chocolate, AKA my kind of place. The prices are reasonable and in spite of a line out the door, they moves quickly. Definitely worth checking out once... or every afternoon...

This was recommended to us as a place to try out many flavors of gelato affordably. The mint chocolate was our favorite!

Stopped here after visiting the Uffizi. We were hot and tired... and a bit grumpy. Five minutes later, we were in heaven. I had tiramisu gelato. My husband split a cup with two different chocolates - one Dutch and the other super dark. Just thinking about it makes me hungry. I'll probably always crave this outstanding gelato.

Not expensive, unless you want to get the mega size. They even had a 1 euro cone offerings. We've been in Florence 3 days and been here 3 straight days. First day we got here late in the evening and most of the gelatos were gone (good sign). And next day we were glad to come back for different selection.... More

I was reluctant to try this place at first because it looked too modern and touristy - I assumed it'd be inauthentic. I was so wrong! My friend and I came back everyday afterwards - excellent prices, and our favorite flavors were the almond milk (Latte di mandorla), fragola, coco, pistacchio. It became routine for us to walk 30 mins... More

Being English the best ice cream we get back home is Mr whippy in some awful cheap cone. Well, this gelateria is the complete opposite of Mr whippy! It is ice cream heaven. I could cry that we don't have places like this where I come from! Amazing ice cream. Can't get enough of it. Wish I was fatter so... More

Had chocolate whiskey cream (in English) and salted peanut and both were wonderful. Small place with no seating unfortunately.

I love Gelateria la carraia. I find that they serve the best fruit flavoured gelato in florence because they actually put pieces of fruit in their gelato which is different from other gelaterie. Their prices are reasonable and the owner of the shop is so incredible friendly. My favourite flavours are Cherry, Passion Fruit and Nutella!!

Ok so we have been there twice now and have loved everything we have tried. Dark chocolate is definitely my favorite! Small is only 1.5 euros. You have to try it!
