Three of us had a dinner here and a nice bottle of wine (for 70 euros). The food was excellent! There were a few non-vegetarian choices on the menu as well. The staff was helpful and kind and spoke English pretty well. The prices were for this type of cuisine quite low compared to Chicago. The dishes on the menu... More

My friend and I spent almost every Friday night for a year at this incredible restaurant. By our last meal here in May, we had tried almost everything on the menu (which is a lot since the menu changes every month) and never once had a bad meal. Every time we went we would order something new and split it.... More

First time in Italy and went to Cuculia, food was amazing and the waiter knew the menu back to front, she was very friendly and provided the best customer service we have had in Italy. Amazing place to explore your taste buds Will be back Love from Australia

Both the presentation and the quality of food is the best I think I have ever had. They offer vegan, vegetarian, and meat dishes, so this works for groups. Unique dishes, and beautiful. I had a hummus appetizer (with julienned celery in a martini glass). Great fresh bread. And the seitan in an orange sauce was heavenly. Couldn't be better.... More

Nice spot but we made a reservation and didn't get a very nice table. Somewhere in the corner near the entrance. We didn't like that so much. Menu is very original but not everything is good. We had very good starters. The beef tartare and burrata waffle. Main dish "stendhal syndrome"although it has a funny name I didn't like it... More

The two dinners we enjoyed at Cuculia were one of the highlights of our week in Florence. The menu was so unusual and we were at first taken aback by some of the descriptions, but the results were stupendous. The chef here is a genius. Make sure you try his take on Eggplant parmigiana. Wish we were eating there tonight.... More

Amazing culinary experience: The dishes that the chef prepared for us were awe inspiring (amazing presentation, very elegant flavors, superb ingredients); first courses and mains were perfect, the dessert was not up to the standard of the rest of the dishes, but still good; excellent breadbasket also; service was very friendly and very efficient in the beginning, towards the end... This place is outstanding! From start to finish it is amazing. The service is the best we've had in Italy, our waitress was very thorough and knowledgeable. The food was nothing less than perfect. From the visual artistic views to the perfect creation on flavors in every dish. We were amazed and would highly recommend to anyone. We stepped out... More

Booked based on Tripadvisor ratings. Started with a free amuse bouche. Sort of a savoury mousse, very tatsy. Very interesting and unusual menu - not traditional Italian. All the food was great. Even the bread was lovely - although we ate too much of it! Too full for dessert or coffee.
