In Florence I have had several bad experiences, but this was a nice surprise as the food was better then at most other lunch rooms and the price was ok.

Dear bbates33, many thanks for your review, we are really happy you consider so good your experience. Pennello in english means "brush", in memory of the painter Mariotto Albertinelli who opened it in the 15th century. The families Brogi and Nenciolini, owners of the restaurant...More

This place was recommended to us and we almost missed it. I’m so glad we didn’t. The decor is simple yet Italian. The patrons are locals with a few tourists willing to go out on a limb. Those who do, won’t regret it. Best of...More

This restaurant had been recommended and I wanted to enjoy a good Florentine Steak while in Florence. The wine list was limited and my choice of a montipulciano was quite disappointing. Our pasta dishes were rather flavorless and needed salt. The steak arrived and was...More

Rude waiter spoilt the occasion, very ordinary food. Will never recommend this place. There were no locals here just tourists.

Old fashioned and traditional. It was recommended to us by a local and all the locals go there. Really reasonable prices and the house wine was good and very cheap. The food was excellent. I have never had a raw artichoke salad before, it was...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
