As far as Ice-cream goes this place is amazing. We noticed this place on our first day walking to the hotel. There was a que out the door. Decided to try and can see why. Great range of flavours and delicious ice-cream. Had to go back every night to try a different flavour. Portion size was very generous and staff... More

This was the best gelato I've ever tried. The prices are incredibly cheap, one scoop for 1 euro. You will not be disappointed at all. Must try: coconut.

We had the big 4 scoops tubs each and even by our standards the portions were huge, the gelato was overflowing. The big dilemma is deciding which flavours to opt for, whatever you choose I'm sure you won't be disappointed. The frozen yogurt with Nutella was awesome as was the cherry. We sat in to demolish our sweet delights and... More

I'm not a fan of ice cream but when La Carraia does it - it's sooooooo good! We just stopped by after an aperitivo at Gallery Art Bar on the same street (also recommended for aperitivo) and had two scoops ice cream each, the signor behind the ice-cream bar was very very friendly and made us happy! Thank youuu!

This is a MUST if you are going to Florence. On our first trip to Florence in June 2014, our tour guide took us here. We loved it. The following summer, my daughter and I hunted for it again (I had forgotten to bring the address). We found it and it was just as wonderful.

Creamy, delicious and amazingly creative flavors makes this one of my favorite gelato spots in Florence. (I taste tested a few). Also an exceptionally good value - just a couple euros gets you a cool, creamy, delicious cone of gelato that is just what this girl needed on a 96 degree day in Florence.

We have tried different gelato shops all over Florence. La Carraia definitely set the standard for us! Their gelato is so creamy and are naturally flavored. You can binge for as little as 2 euros. Don't be surprised if you find yourself coming back for more everyday!

After just one visit, the man behind the counter remembered us and gave us a huge welcoming smile when we entered. After having been disappointed at 2 other gelato shops in Florence - one we just happened upon (not great and expensive) and one recommended (better) - we discovered La Carraia di via de'Benci. This find was probably not the... More
