We ordered bruschetta with tomatoes and pecorino cheese which was very good. Then I ordered the tortellini which came to the table as grocery store bought raviolis. Ok nothing special. I pointed this out to our waitress and her reply was that they were out...More

This was great because we arrived in Florence starving, and got a table really fast. The food came out so quick and it's two courses for 10 Euro! Great if you're balling on a budget! The food was large portions and we left stuffed.

Somewhere in my tacky American tourist mind, I dreamt that every waiter in Italy would be red faced and jolly, singing Puccini as they dished out huge bowls of pasta. Well Zio Gigi is as close as you're going to get to living out that...More

The desk clerk at our hotel told us about this fabulous restaurant that the locals frequent. The food was amazing. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. We look forward to going back one day. You will love this restaurant!

We ate here on our last trip to Florence and enjoyed it as much on this trip. Zia Gigi is a fun experience at a very reasonable price. The owner serenades you with opera while you chow down on Italian comfort food.

Great food, great service, great value. Our dishes were delicious, I had Penne a la Norsa, and my husband had Spaghetti di Mare, both were great, we didn't leave anything on the plate. The owner takes care of the guests and entertains them with his...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by

The historic center is characterized by the immensity
