When in Firenze you should come to this place. Ice creams are usually great in Italy, but this place has some of the best ones we had!!

This was the only place we had gelato at in Florence, and each time we went the gelato was delicious. My husband had the chocolate and hazelnut (amazing) and I had the fior di latte (creamy - just what I like). We sat outside on the benches, admired the cow out front and watched the masses walk by as we... More

Delicious gelato! Although they do not have as many flavours as some gelateria's in the centre have, their gelato is still one of the best! :) I had coconut and mango/peach flavours, perfect for the summer

I love this place! The staff is so friendly and the gelato is delicious and fresh. It's also relatively cheap with only 1,80 euros for a small. It's close to the duomo but not touristy. Easy to find- look for the big cow statue out front!

My husband and I tried a couple of flavors: I got the cafe mocha and the hazelnut, my husband got the vanilla and cafe mocha as well. We liked the cafe mocha but the hazelnut, the hazelnut, THE HAZELNUT!!! It's the best one I've tasted so far. And it's not very expensive.

Had a small (€1.80) cup of hazelnut and it was really good. Not the best I've had but really good. A plus for the covered deep containers that keep the products fresh.

Absolutely fantastic staff. So friendly and helpful. The gelateria is quite small but there's a nice little seating area at the front, They serve a great range of gelato aswell as granite (sorbet), they also serves crepes and other snacks. I was really looking forward to trying a traditional style gelato so we went for two different flavours in small... More

High quality ice cream as expected in Florence. Simple yet hits the spot. When you visit the Doumo stop for a short break and enjoy.

Description
"Le Parigine" is a typical italian recipe for the famous Gelato, that instead of being placed in a cone, is layed between two layers of cookie. Le Parigine is an artisanal ice cream shop that was born in the historical palace of Buontalenti, in the very heart of Florence behind the Duomo and Giotto's Bell Tower, in Via dei Servi 41r. The Shop features a laboratory behind the counter where guests can view and appreciate how the ice cream, as well as the chocolate covered fruit, crepes and chocolate confectionary are made. The perfect place for those that wish to try one of the ancient traditions of ice cream making in Italy.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
