Nice Cafe with a good Caffe and Capuccino. The cakes and biscotti are good looking. The restrooms are clean.

Being right next to the Duomo, expect to pay top prices. The Waiters and Waitresses seem to be permanently rushed off their feet, mainly because there are not enough of them. If you sit inside you place your order at the counter and then the staff bring your order to you. If you are seated outside the staff come to... More

We were not impressed at all. The food was ok at best the service just a little better. We stopped there because we were coming back form a tour and it was close to where we are staying. Try someplace else.

This is an interesting "restaurant". Scuderie originally started out as a sweets shop. Handmade chocolates, wonderful miniature marzipan fruits, flowers, good gelato. Somehow between 1998 and now they have added a coffee shop/restaurant on the piazza and in part of the old store. The panforte is still memorable, the marzipan as realistic as ever and the chocolate to die for.... More

Ciao everyone! I stopped by at this place yesterday evening while i was killing some time to head back to Rome. I ordered an iced coffee and i was very dissapointed, they served me a cup with 2 scoops of vainila ice cream and a shot of coffee on the side. Just like that! Not effort or what so ever,... More

We spent 3 days in Firenze and discovered this on the first afternoon. We had coffee at the bar each day and returned in the evening for a drink before dinner looking out over the very busy Firenze street scene. Coffee was excellent as was the occasional dolci. Our favourite was the Cannoli. We wish we could call in each... More

The food was ok and the service was quite fast but it was over priced due to its location . The ambiance was great though and the coffee and cakes were worth going back for !

This place looks lovely and is in an ideal location. We stopped here for lunch but soon wished we had not. Staff were very slow to serve us and when they eventually did, it took almost an hour for us to get our order of one pizza and salad. Food was average. Trying to get staff attention was difficult, the... More

We visit this place at least once a day, sometimes two or three times. It is a very busy and popular espresso bar. ( locals in all the time ) Standing at the bar gets you quick service with friendly staff doing their very best to remember who's next. Alternatively and much recommended is to go to the patisserie counter... More

Stopped here to have a drink. The first waiter brought the wrong order. We were then ignored. We eventually got our drinks, but the staff were quite rude and obviously thought that serving us was beneath them.the whole experience was also expensive. I would not recommend this place or go there again

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
