We were told by friends who live in Florence to avoid restaurants around Duomo , and check out the ones around the Santa Croce church. Hence their recommendation of this place. The owner of the restaurant was warm and welcoming. We ordered an antipasto salad which was very generous and delicious. Ditto for the steak Florentine, a most fantastic artichoke... More

Friendly, traditional trattoria. Food wasn't that great, but I got the feeling it was an off day. The service is quite friendly and prompt. Maybe it's worth another try.

My boyfriend and I travelled to Florence back in 2015 and from excellent reviews ate here. We returned 4 times during our stay in Florence and was amazed by the quality of food, wine and atmosphere this gem offered. Even now years later I still fantasize about how lovely our meals were here. Can't wait to return when we go... More

Acquacotta was recommended to us by our Airbnb hosts. We stopped in on a Tuesday evening around 8 pm. We didn't have reservations but we were seated immediately. We started with the Wild Boar pasta and had we stopped there we would have been happy but we continued on the the Florentine Steak and were amazed! It's a little pricey... More

This is the kinf of restaurant I want when I go to Italy. Good ingredients, good wine, nice service. Good price / quality ratio. Don't miss it.

I have visited this restaurant three times within four months - twice it was 5 stars once it was three so what do you do? We figured it out after last week - fish is not the real thing at this place. But when we kept to vegetable and meat it was awesome, great cooking, renewing the Tuscan kitchen with... More

Great family run place, typical Tuscan style restaurant, with a huge amount of choices at reasonable prices. Went with family of 4, two young kids, and everyone loved it. The staff were super friendly and attentive, going out of their way to offer food that was not even on the menu to ensure our children were happy and well fed.... More

Had delightful pasta for lunch with a bit of wine, followed by dessert. The service was exceptional and friendly, and the food was incredible and and not too expensive. We would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The pasta was uncooked, there was sand in the salad , the rabbit tasted very bad and it was full of bones. The worst restaurant ever! I'm Italian and feel very bad when I found this kind of quality in my country.

After reading rather glowing TA reviews perhaps we were expecting more. I want to give it excellent mainly because of the very friendly welcome and service but it should be because of the food and the food was just average. Expecting cosy but walked in to a quite brightly lit and decidedly chilly room. We started with octopus salad and... More
