It's a traditional Italian trattoria open only for lunch (12:30-14.30) and you sit with other people at tables. Place is usually crowded, no reservations but it's worth every penny. All food is locally produced, they serve probably the best meat in Florence, especially la "fiorentina" and it's relatively cheap. Good place to get to know the "Fiorentini". The owners are... More

Even if we were waiting for 40' we didn't regret! The food is really great! We try the soup with spinach, the amazing ravioli and the delicious biscetta alla Fiorentina! A place to be in Firenze!

Simple and simply fantastic food. The tables are shared with other customers, you just sit where there is an empty space. The food is cheap and amazing!!! It took about 10min to sit and start eating in this family owned restaurant. Look at the amazing T bone of 1Kg, for two with a 35€ cost. The roasted beans are fantastic... More

Once we were seated the food was inexpensive, excellent and quickly brought. It's a tight space, but a good way to try the local cuisine and meet new people. You have to sign in first, the wait can be quite a bit.

It is a small place where you share the tables...a really family restaurant! There is not a lot of options on the menu...but you must try the Bisteca alla Fiorentina! They bring the steak raw in advance for gou to choose the size! FANTASTIC AND GREAT PRICE

My daughter and I were visiting from the US and we found this restaurant by chance. It was bustling on a Friday night, but we did not have to wait for a table. There were many locals there the night we dined. My daughter had a vegetarian bean soup and I had the homestyle lasagna. Both were excellent and made... More

Mario's is one of our favorite restaurants in Florence. Eat the Bistecca Fiorentina and have a liter of wine. Get there by 1215 or you aren't going to eat that day. They close at 230 pm. Be social with the people dining around you. There are locals and tourists in an amazing mix. Relax. It's crowded but not loud. No... More

We very much enjoyed our meals here. My wife is vegetarian but was able to enjoy a wonderful pasta dish. We ended up sharing a table with a wonderful couple from Rome. Wonderful meal, great conversation, friendly staff--an overall excellent experience. Well worth going there.

Best kept secret referred by locals. Don't be put off by the long lines just go inside and they seat you next to others in tables all Squashed together . There are many locals . The food is exceptionally good and most people were eating huge steaks but I chose a pasta which was wonderful. Definitely a traditional place to... More

Busy...excellent food ....super atmosphere...very friendly staff..what more could you want. Be prepared to share table with complete strangers...we now know what hello and cheers are in Korean...an excellent experience...and the food was out of this world. I have never had a steak so good. Captive audience...but not a ripoff...in fact it was very reasonable...and the wine was good too.
