Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Go early and be prepared to wait (but it does move quickly) then have a unique experience. The granita, coffee and brioche was delicious -- and the people-watching was great fun. Don't miss the ceramic shop across the street!

We popped in for a granita, brioche, coffee and a crodino. Beautiful café decorated in painted tiles. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Good food. Good people watching. Great food. Enjoy!

Sorry, after the Greek Theater - BAM BAR is my nr.2 main attraction in Taormina 😆🤣 I will never forget their nocciola granita with whipped cream and a sweet roll. Definitely a must-do in Taormina

This is one of the few things i enjoyed in Taormina! They server THE BEST granita in Sicily! i've tried granita in many places but nothing is compared to this one. The staff were friendly, polite, and i really wonder how people see them rude...in the comments! I had peach, and kiwi with brioche and it was amazing, and so is their coffee. I highly recommend it.More

It was very busy here in Toramina Sicily but the 15 minute wait for an outside table was well worth it. We could have gone inside within 5 minutes but didn’t want to. The mixed Granito with cream with a Brioche bun was fantastic in...fact so good we stayed for two. A must visit….. 😀More

The granita is incredible here. Tried elsewhere and it just not the same! Was our breakfast of choice 3 of the 4 mornings we were in Taormina and the only reason it was not 4 out of 4 was the are closed on Mondays! Cannot...recommend highly enough the peach and strawberry flavors. Despite the crowds and hectic nature ; service remains good and friendly. Worth the wait!More

Yes, the rave is real. The granita are fantastic, perfectly chilled after waiting in the hot sun to get a spot. I got the Nutella and almond with cream --highly recommend. My husband got the raspberry and lemon with cream. His was refreshing and tart...while mine was sweet and creamy. We also got an order of the warm brioche which was soft and fluffy. We waited in line for about 20 minutes. Once you're seated, the service is fast. Servers are constantly running around turning tables, serving granita, or taking order so don't expect to have full-attention waiters; it's what keeps the line outside moving!More

A very stressful place, they sit on your head from the outside to enter the restaurant. At the end of the menu I don't understand, the dish is very sweet and I don't understand the madness about the place! shame

Bam Bar is a MUST when you visit Taormina. It was easy to find and is smack bang in the middle of the town. We visited at approximately 11am and my god the queue was insane, we queued for 45 mins - 1 hour which...may seem crazy but after reading reviews about this place my husband and I really wanted to try it. We were seated outside after our wait and ordered 2 x granitas - 1 chocolate and 1 almond with 2 brioches. They were DEFINITELY worth the wait and so reasonably priced too. The service was a bit slow but understandable considering how busy they were. We walked past Bam Bar approximately 2 - 3 hours later and there was no queue at all so may be worth waiting until a little later in the day. If I ever go back to Taormina I will definitely revisit here.More

The wait is the worst part but you can walk around the city and do some shopping as you wait. Once you are finally seated, the staff are pleasant and efficient in taking your order. We had the raspberry lemon and the pistachio almond granitas...and a brioche to share. It was delish.More

Awful place! avoid like the plague! Worst service ever! We waited forever to sit, then they forgot to bring a few things we ordered.. and we had to wait even more! they did not even apologise! Aside from this, you can find hundreds of better...places in Taormina and Sicily to have a granita! Simply overrated! I could not recommend less!More

A busy buzzing place, apparently the best granita in Sicily. We had to wait for a table, but only for 5/10 mins. Helpful staff and an enjoyable pudding
