The seafood salat was 3.5 and pizza was a 3, but when we got the check then I think they added more "extras" then we wanted for. First of all one beer 3€ means one beer, not 2€ and 3€ for a beer. Second IF I do not order an digestive and they still bring it, fine, but I did... More

Conveniently located near Piazza Duomo, and can be extremely busy at peak hours. Patrons include tourists and local residents. Wait staff all were working hard, but this is not a fast food place. Menu choices are fairly standard but are satisfactory, as is the wine card. It helps if you can speak Italian.

My wife and I had a late lunch at Castello Fiorentino on the day we arrived in Syracuse. As per the other reviews on here, we were shocked by the 20% service charge, especially as the service was average at best. We had to wait a full ten minutes before being served, and the owner was having what appeared to... More

Waiters pushy and rude, noisy, disrespectful and unprofessional, including the manager. The food was bad. A pity to have such a place in Siracuse downtown.... Save the evening, avoid having an unpleasant moment and go to another place.

All the complaints on other reviews, are positives. Mad and loud waiters. High service charge but low prices. Big doughy real pizzas not thin crisp ones. Absolutely wonderful. Place is absolutely full of local people as well as tourists enjoying their food. Only had pizzas, but that's why you go here.

My partner and I ate here on our 2nd night in Syracuse. The pizza here is to die for, service was prompt, friendly and highly professional. The prices are definitely not too steep either. Got the impression that the staff here really enjoy their jobs, which was lovely to see! We, despite only speaking a smattering of Italian, were made... More

How do you suffer paying too much for poor food sitting on tiny hard chairs with a little tilting table on cobblestones in a very narrow alleyway with four servers who don't communicate with each other except to quarrel and then go for smokes somewhere out of sight? Hope that they bring some wine soon.

We ate here two weeks ago and both of us suffered stomach upsets for a couple of days afterwards. we both chose different menus. I agree the previous comments on 'What a rip-off'. The service is artificially noisy and exaggerated and you find out this is because they are adding an 'obligatory' 20% to the bill which you are suppopsed... More

Tables outside were full and so we were tempted in, what a huge mistake. The waiter who took our order was too busy shouting instructions to others to get our order right . White wine came when we'd ordered red. The bread was dry , the starter a disappointment and before we were half way through that our main courses... More

Had a great meal here on our first night in Ortygia, we had the carbonara and bolognese and it was delicious! Service was good, waiters were friendly and brought us limoncello after our meal. Nice friendly atmosphere, would definitely go back.
