Decent food, good potential but realisation not too carefull. Prices too high for the quality offered. Pastas were Great. Meat below expectations and so salty that almost uneatable! Great wine choice.

This was our first meal in Ortigia and we only wanted a snack. We chose an outside table at this restaurant in one of the small backstreets of this lovely town. We were looking for authentic Sicilian food, and although what we had was tasty,...More

Their signature pasta dish, fettucine with pistachio and tuna sauce was truly superb, as was the frito misto of fresh fish! A peaceful find on a sidestreet near Aretusa.

Quick and straight: food was ok, not bad at all , tasty and reasonably priced. Apart from that, every other aspect of the meal was terrible. Mr Ludovico, who is supposed to be the owner or the manager apparently was in a bad mood and...More

I spent four nights in Ortigia and ate here three times. I can highly recommend their fish and pasta dishes as well as their Nero d'Avola wine to accompany them. Very friendly service and very clean (including their toilets)

We went to Al Mazari after it was recommended by an acquaintance. The restaurant is plastered with Michelin stickers as recent as 2017 so we had pretty high expectations. The waiter was friendly and the interiors were nice. The portion sizes were tiny and the...More

Looks a little austere inside but the food is sublime. Helpful service, good portion sizes and very tasty. Everything we had was superb. Fresh, fabulous salad - you choose the ingredients - amazing fish dishes and Cannoli dessert one of the best desserts I've had...More

Stumbled upon Al Mazari just in time for lunch. Located up a narrow side street, it's a little off the beaten track. Enjoyed the light menu so much that we decided to return for dinner. The restaurant is a little eccentrically decorated, but the food...More

In one of the quaint side roads off the Via Roma, serves delicious food, we shared a caponata as a starter followed by pasta. Washed down with a bottle of local wine.
