Food is unequal some good but in Italy I got first time in my life overcooked risotto !!!
Later changed for sepia which I recommend .
At the end adventure with check left me rather disgusted it was my second visit and first time was...really OK.More
I've been here for a lunch with friends. The place presents itself nicely, sparking clean cloth tablecloths and napkins, cutlery, glasses. Sitting is available both inside and outside with beautiful sight on the sea. The place was all sparkling clean, menu arrived in a second....We ordered three first courses and two second courses, unfortunately my first and second were served together for a mistake. I asked, whom I later learnt was the owner, if I could have the second course taken away and kept warm, he profusely apologised to the point I had the impression he was being servile with me, which I didn't like one bit.
Soon enough he realised I misunderstood his intentions and came to speak with me, further apologising for the incomprehension.
At the end of the day I spoke with him quite a bit and rather quickly realised the quality of this man: I visit a discrete number of different places rather often, and I can tell you that the kind of attention for the client I've seen here is an extremely rare thing. They (he and the rest of the staff) don't just serve you as a customer, but work and care to make your experience a 360° pleasant experience.
They're competent, professional and, if that's your cup of tea when you go eat outside, friendly.
I really felt like they were there not just to serve me but for me.
The price/quality ratio is definitely worth it for the quality of the dishes and the location alone, on top of this you have an outstanding service and care for you that are added value.
I would absolutely recommend you this place if you're in Catania. I'm fairly sure you won't regret it.
Grazie ancora Luca, a presto!More
Amazing! You HAVE to go. The food was deliciously surprising and sir that was serving us was delightful and kept bringing little complementary servings of desserts and drinks after we've finished with our main courses. We loved the food, we loved the waiters, we loved...the seaside sitting. You HAVE to go.More
Myself, wife and two children went here for a recent meal. We were eventually given a table. Waited 45 minutes for menus and drinks.
When we eventually ordered our meal, we ordered Oysters to start and a main course each. After 1 hour of waiting...for food, I asked a waiter who didn't speak English, so asked a Manager about the wait time, who was quite rude by waving his hand and saying sit down.
10 minutes later our main courses arrived. I told the waiter that we hadn't had our starters yet. He then turned up with 12 Oysters. I told him to take the meal away as it already looked dry and we wanted our starters first with a short break between courses.
We were past wanting to eat a big meal as we had waited so long. We told them not to bring the meal back and charge me for our drinks and we were looking to leave. They had the cheek to charge 10 euros cover charge, which i said i wasn't paying.
They advertise as a Pizzeria, but don't sell pizzas?????
I had to give 1 star to write this review, but they don't deserve that. Rude.......
We actually then went across the road to a Pizzeria called I Setti Vizi and had a wonderful Meal. Great service at this other restaurant.
Maybe staff at Andrews Restaurant should have some customer service lessons at I Setti Vizi.More
After the lockdown I was able to be back to Sicily for my summer holiday. I love Sicily and its people and it’s food. And I am back by Andrew’s Faro. Today we ordered risotto di mare, frittura mista, pepata di cozze and sorbetto. It...was all excellent and the service perfect as always. Luca the owner makes the experience even more special. This holiday is almost over but I will be back for Christmas. Bravo!More
Everytime I visit Catania Andrew’s is my favourite restaurant to spend a beautiful evening made of excelent food, great service and so lovely people to spoil me and my family. This year I had such a nice surprise. They renew the restaurant and move to...the best spot in San Giovanni Licuti. The pictures show what is very difficult to describe with words. I had antipasto di mare and my wife involtini di pesce spada All served with white wine Licuti (their own production). I always finish with sorbet and the quality of food always worth what you pay! Grazie Luca, the owner and and all the staff. Another magic sunmer lunch in Catania. See you in December.More
Restaurant staff were accommodating of my sons fussy eating and made him a plain meal as requested, my daughter had a lovely pizza and I indulged in the pasta Norma, classic Sicilian pasta dish. The food was good and service also good. It’s not a...3 (average) and not really a 4 (really good) perfectly passable ‘good’ thoughMore
