My girlfriend and I chose this place to have our last lunch of our holiday as we were visiting Cagliari for the day. Even though we walked in with no reservation, the restaurant offered to reserve a table just before closure (assuring there would be no rush). That suited us perfectly. We were welcomed with a lot of bread (both normal and "Carasau") and, to start, we ordered a mixed charcuterie board to share. It was delicious, especially the pecorino ricotta! Then I had Malloreddus alla Campidanese whilst my girlfriend had a goat ragu. They were both well cooked and super tasty. Finally I had a Sebadas for dessert... amazing. At the end of the meal we felt completely satisfied and the bill was very much appropriate to the experience we had. This was probably the best food we had in our whole holiday, I definitely recommend!¬

After trying to walk in previously, and being turned away, we had to book ahead. And boy did it deliver! The atmosphere was classy, and the service was great - the right balance of fun and professionalism. The food was absolutely delicious, with local delights such as snails cooked in a spicy tomato sauce, culugiones (a dumpling-like filled pasta - we chose some with a minted potato filling with pinenuts and walnuts), pasta with pork sausage and wild fennel and stewed goat. Very reasonable priced meal (with good local wines from €16 a bottle), especially in comparison to what you can spend at some poor touristy alternatives. Would definitely recommend!

Decided to try this restaurant looking for some typical Sardinian food and managed to get a table out of luck as we didn't make a reservation. We tried the meat board for antipasto, the fergola as primo dish and a combination of grilled meats as secondo. Everything was delicious and the meat was good quality. Good wine recommended by the waiter and then after a lot of debating we ended up doing for dessert as well. The sebadas are to die for and the tiramisu was one of the best I've had in my life. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Cagliari but the restaurant is small so try and book in advance.

Summary: chiller red wine, warm cheesecake 🥴 not coming back. Reservation was easy. Waiters were friendly. They served us chilled red wine. Suspicious. 🥴 Snail in tomato sauce was flavourful. 8/10 Ravioli + ricotta + spinach was dry. 4/10 Malloreddus campidanese was ok. 7/10 Then things started to go south. Lamb chops were initially served overcooked. We asked the kitchen to change it and they gave us almost raw lamb chops. -100/10. Pork fillet was again a but dry and overcooked. 2/10. Grappa was as colourless as water. Low class. Not impressive. Cheesecake was warm.

We came at 6pm to book a table for 7pm but the waiter was arrogant saying we are full inside (which at the end was not true) and for outside he told us to come back later we can’t book you a table for 2 (so charming attitude). We then came back 7 and order meat (the specialty of the house) but were disappointed. The Meat had a lot of fat was hard to eat and not as good as expected for “apparently” the best meat restaurant in town. Waiter was continuing not being so friendly. The tiramisu was not too bad at least. We end up paying too much for what we eat. Btw to thank the nice waiter I take a big s*** in his bathroom. Best Regards.

This was recommended by the hotel and as such didn’t disappoint. However it’s for want of a better phrase, a bit out there, I thought they were joining when they said the horse and donkey were off the menu, and maybe they were but they were actually on the menu ! Anyhow I had snails, however they had several options and I got the wrong one, however they replaced it and apologised not a problem, my wife had millefleurs with grilled vegetables, and a risotto and I had a marvellous pork dish for the main course. We had one of the vermintino’s as a wine, however when i asked for a glass of red I was asked what I liked and not knowing many Italian/Sardinian wines they bought me 3 to try, yes 3, of which I made my pick. To top this off they also though in a honey and lemon pastry, as they had made a mistake with the snails earlier, which I polished off with a desert wine. Then a Mirto (Sardinian liquor) to finish with, have to say Mirto tastes like sone school medicine, but I have been told since they are not all the same ! Very good evening after clambering about the town all day.

A place for delicious culurgiones, sardinian dumplings stuffed with potatoes, mint and pecorino cheese - we tried the traditional version and the one with nuts. Although I cannot say a bad word about the traditional dish served with tomato sauce, the true highlight is culurgiones noci e pinoli - served with walnuts, pine nuts and olive oil. We also tried pan carasau with grilled vegetables and sformatino - all very tasty. Service was very good. I must admit that the food was quite pricey but really delicious. The place is so popular that we got the table only on our third try during two visits to the city. If you can afford, then it's highly recommended.

On the advice of friends we go to this restaurant in the centre, nice and quiet, very friendly and knowledgeable, the waiters welcome us with a nice smile. Soft music and a relaxing environment, we order appetizers, cheeses, cured meats (all excellent), the pastas we tried (malloreddus and culurgiones) very good but a small quantity for the price offered. Normal meatballs not up to the standard of the first courses and here too small quantity, good desserts and excellent house wine. In short, a good restaurant with a quiet environment and competence and courtesy that is not lacking. High prices on some dishes. However, we will definitely return.

We chose this restaurant for the last evening of a two-weeks holiday, and we rate it as the best of all those we tried. It is bigger than it seems when you enter the front part of the restaurant. We were seated in a spacious dining hall, which nevertheless did not seem to be overcrowded. Delicious typical Sardinian food was served. Staff was attentive and service was fast and friendly. We might come back, if we travel to Cagliari again. Reservation recommended.

We had malloreddus with ragu and pecorino and malloreddus with local sausage seasoned with herbs. The pasta was very good, with a peculiar taste, giving the traditional manufacturing and seasoning. We also loved the taste of local pecorino. The service was good and the prices moderated. You should note that the place is full almost all the time and you should consider a waiting time of maximum 25/30 minutes.

Food in Cagliari. The quality of food was superb in most places but we loved this particular restaurant for its menu, setting and service. The service is excellent with polite, patient waiters who make one feel pampered! I would recommendcthis restaurant in the old district of the capital.Worth a visit or more than one!

Restaurant located in the center of Cagliari, small but well-kept, friendly and polite staff. We ate typical local dishes of excellent quality and paid the right price; combines Sardinian tradition with quality food. The malloreddu with sausage, the fregula with courgettes and sausage and the culurgiones with tomato are excellent. Right portions and adequate bill; Too bad the limited choice of traditional foods offered on the menu

After eating an appetizer they served us a truly inedible and disgusting porchetto even though we had booked it days ago. It was completely dry, with a rubbery rind and looked like it had been boiled and reheated. Even though we had pointed this out, they also made us pay a high price (120.00 euros just for the porchetto for 4 portions) saying that to apologize they didn't make us pay for the bitters. It was a real shame and an insult to our intelligence. Disgusting food is fine but being made fun of is also not. Never to return again and not to be recommended even to the worst enemy. Disturbing experience

Cordiali saluti

Impeccable service and excellent food. 2 x main course, side, bottle of wine and a cheese platter to finish 100 euros (£84). It was a wonderful experience and the waiter was top class and spoke English. You may need to book online before you go as it's very popular, even on a Tuesday night at the end of the season.

Cozy place and very friendly and helpful staff. We thank Ilario for recommending the traditional culurgiones: amazing! The cheese platter is a riot of unmissable flavours, so abundant that two of us couldn't finish it and they kindly prepared a take-away basket for us. We ate very well and the value for money deserves 10/10
