On our car trip to San Pietro de Bevagna, during our recent August visit to Puglia, when passing by the small Monacizzo village, by a quirk of fate we run into L'osteria di Monacizzo. Oh my, what a wonderful restaurant and place! A family run restaurant with Italian tradition written all over. It was passed serving hours so the owner’s... More

Run by an older couple, the wife cooks with love and the husband serves the wine (Primitive or Negroamaro - the local grape... More

I think they stayed open especially for us and we're so glad they did as everything they served up was delicious. Mixed antipasto of deep fried zucchini and artichokes, local cheeses, panzarotti, polpette, lampascioni (little bitter onions... More

We went there for dinner, they were advised that I am vegetarian, so it was great not to have a menu so I didn't have to choose. The amount of food and the quality of the food was excellent, we had an appetizer, first and second course all just very tasteful, and all for 40 euro. For two I would... More
