This our third visit to La Griglia. Coming to Italy means planning a stay in Verona so I can enjoy a meal or two at La Griglia. The food is excellent and the service is even more wonderful. The wait staff still remembered us even...though we weren’t able to come last year. The location is perfect — not too far from Piazza Bra and the arena yet on a very quiet street.More

I’m a bit late with this review but as we didn’t eat there in the end it doesn’t seem that the time is of the essence. Anyway, we had made a reservation over the phone and came to the restaurant after approximately 10 minutes as...it was agreed over the phone just to be told that we are late and that the table was given to another couple. As we were hungry we agreed to wait a bit more until some other table is freed. Again all this was just to see that some visitors that came after us were accommodated before us. It seemed like they also didn’t have reservation but we were only a couple and there was 3-4 of them, hence in the eyes of the restaurant bigger profits. All that time, approx. 30 minutes, we were being persuaded by the waiter that we will get our table. In the end we didn’t see any chance of being served properly and we left. I’m sorry that all this happened like this because I was convinced by the other reviews that this place had excellent service and food. Obviously, I can’t say much about the food.More

We came here after a day of sightseeing in Verona and we were welcomed by a very friendly staff. As we did not have a reservation and wanted to sit outside, we had to wait for about 10 minutes, but the staff gave us a...glass of Prosecco (free of charge!) to ease the wait. We choose the truffle steak, and were not disappointed. Very tasty and perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere and a very good night out.More

They also offer home-made pasta, but the reason to go there is the meat. If you go for the T bone steak for 2, you can only share a small antipasto before. We took the burrata, which was delicious. Then, the meat comes on a...hot metal plate. It is grilled rare and cut in slices, so you can put slices on the hot plate to cook them a little more if you want. There is some vegetable and potatoes aside, but it‘s about the meat. The quality us really good, but you have to calculate 70€ for the cut. It goes very well with a heavy Amarone red.More

Amazing meal! Loved the starter, the wine and the steak! The truffle steak, medium rare to share was just perfect!! We sat outside and had a view of the stadium. We could hear the live concert, it was all just perfect! Lovely waiters too!

The Antipasti burrata was very good. The rest of the meal was disappointing. The steak strips were tender but bland. The grilled vegetables were burnt & do not get the beets, they are not English beets rather the tops that we would throw away, horrid....Underwhelming experience.More

All we hoped for!! The service was absolutely lovely! The lady and gentlemen were very attentive, they made sure that everything we needed was in place. From recommendation on the food to even make sure we could share our food and think of extra platters...of split the dish in half. What made our evening complete is that the food was delicious!! Really fresh and well prepared. The burrata was amazing and the meat grilled and it should. The location and ambiance fit into the complete package. Really if you want to have a nice evening with good food and service, this is the place to go.More

Looking for a place to have a real Italian lunch, we stumbled across this restaurant in a quiet street close to the Arena di Verona. Our lunch was better than we could hope for; the pasta with tartufo (and added cream cheese) is truly superb!

Great food and location, we enjoyed every single dish and although we had to wait a while (we walked in on a Saturday night and without a reservation) it was really worth it. Rosy made our night even more special with her kindness, humor, and...wine suggestions, and the manager kindly offered us drinks while we were waiting for our table. Surely going back, lovely place, honest prices and excellent service!More

The Very Best in Verona! We made a stop in Verona before heading to Asolo and randomly came upon “La Griglia” which is near the Arena. We had an exceptional lunch and great service from Eleonora and Rosie today. The steak options are quite interesting...with one of us ordering a steak with a reduction of mixed fruits, balsamic vinegar and sugar. I had a superb gnocchi and truffle-cream sauce and our friends enjoyed two other pasta entrees as well. The wine selections made by our servers was “spot-on” and we had a traditional tiramisu, blueberry crustata and creme brûlée. If you’re in Verona, it’s worth a stop at “la Griglia” for a meal!!More

The best thing to do is ask your hotel reception to give them a call. They will do it for sure!
