This restaurant is located in a narrow backstreet behind the main Arena square called Piazza Brà. The interior is classical italian style with nice decoration. The food is a variety of local dishes, from tortelli to rice for the first course and the famous local platter of mixed boiled meat: beef cuts, including tongue and brain and nerves on request,... Tried a few modern restaurants so was struck on the traditional interior. Did feel like you had come for tea at a Verona family home. Mainly Italians eating there. Simple food nicely served. Veg not as al dente as I like. Only query was the bread was out already and the cakes were all on display with no cover on... More

My wife and I discovered this magical place just if the Arena square on our last night in Verona. Full of locals (always a great sign for me), the food was exquisite, atmosphere great and the service very good. Not the cheapest but worth every euro. Wine list extensive and difficult to choose from. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

We suspected our beef cheeks and liver had been in the microwave as food arrived within minutes of us ordering and just tasted wrong. The sweet trolley looks amazing but again the chocolate pudding went back for a couple of minutes in the microwave and my other half's cheesecake tasted a bit stale. Certainly not a fine dining experience and... More

A wonderful, long leisurely Saturday lunch. We went without a reservation and were welcomed warmly to this family run establishment. Surrounded by families enjoying the day and the food we had such a lovely time.Service was good and food was excellent. A very pleasant experience!

A more traditional restaurant, well located on the street just behind the Piazza Bra. The clientele appeared to be mostly local and known to the staff, although as visitors we were made to feel perfectly welcome. The food did not quite live up to the promise of the menu although the baked egg dish with truffles was excellent. There were... More

Food, service and mainly locals when we were there. Sunday afternoon family atmosphere with the locals hanging out for their long Sunday meal was fun to see. Amaroni Risotto was delicious, as was the local boiled meat cart offerings. Wine list is superb.

Slightly confused management going on here. Sat by the front door were 3 'managers' - 1 front of house, 1 doing bookings/bills and 1 guy dressed all in black who seemed to be vaping all evening between occasionally jumping up to 'carve' the boiled meats. They all just got in the way of the 3 very good floor staff doing... More

On the recommendation of our business partners we booked our table and walked to this street restaurant. We placed our orders and drinks and had to wait a long time before anyone remembered our order? Then it arrived ,a bit late but after couple of glasses of wine we were hungry to eat. Food was average and not to our... More

I know the reviews are good that's why I went and maybe they were having an off night. But my tortellini with butter and sage tasted like it had been bought at the euro spar up the road. The desert trolley did look amazing but having paid €17.50 for a plate of pasta I could have made better myself and... More
