This place served up classic Venetian dishes and served them up well. The fish is fresh and great! The atmosphere is nice and the service was good. Not the best restaurant in all of Italy, but a really good one nevertheless.

We ate in the more formal restaurant and also, later, in the bacaro. The caprese that we had in the restaurant was superb, amongst the best we've ever had. The squid ink pasta was excellent. The wine selection was especially strong on local Veneto wines....More

You cannot go wrong here: the squid ink pasta was one of the best dishes we had in all of Italy, and the grilled seafood platter and fried seafood platter will stay in our memories for a long, long time. The service was friendly and...More

Venetian special seppie (cuttlefish) cooked in black ink - visually stunning / so tender. Also seafood risotto for two was fabulous. Even the humble spaghetti e Pomodoro was beautifully cooked.

We ate here before a concert at San Vidal -- excellent fresh fish, salads, pasta, and vegetables. Good service, fair prices -- would definitely recommend. Wine list is not extensive but adequate.

You may fall upon Trattoria Da Fiore restaurant in Venice with cries of delight not only is it a charming, laid-back trattoria run by a native Venetian family, it is also incredibly affordable for this high-ticket city. Near Piazza San Marco, too, so its perfect for every kind of tourist or business noshing. A small, historic, charming spot with a separate space for those who wish to just nibble cichetti and drink a glass of wine, Trattoria Da Fiore has the beamed ceilings, warm plastered walls and dark wood seating and white table linens all typical of Venetian eateries. The menu is Italian and Sergio and his two children pay particular attention to the choice of wines. The house specialty is pennette da Fiore for two with olive oil, garlic and seven seasonal vegetables, though some swear by the zuppa di pesce alla chef brimming with just about everything that swims, perhaps followed by sgroppino al limone to finish. Youll find Trattoria Da Fiore full of both tourists and locals, and something of a triumph.
