Reservation is advised since it's full at this time of the year. The personnel is very friendly and helpful in various languages. We took the sea menu, although expensive we wanted to try something different from the classic pizza and pastas. We were not deceived,...More

good selection, and small intimate space. If you're looking for cheap and lots of selection, go to Campo Santa Margherita.

Beautiful service, but not food to match unfortunately. The food was good, but none of us though it was worth the price, perhaps a little too experimental! The wine list was gorgeous and well priced.

So delicious, courteous staff and did I mention the amount of clams in my tagliatele??? I got tired of counting and removing them from their shells!!!!! The food was all I could ask for, their insalata mista-green salad was large and generous sized. The waiter...More

You will find just as many Venetians/Italians dining in this restaurant as you will find international travelers, which is always encouraging. The space is small, so have your hotel make a reservation, or you're likely to be disappointed. There is a small bar area to...More

This is a great spot - a bar that is clearly very popular with locals for an "ombra" post work and a cicceti, and a very good restaurant. We were lucky enough to get a table without having a booking,( it's small inside so I...More

You may fall upon Trattoria Da Fiore restaurant in Venice with cries of delight not only is it a charming, laid-back trattoria run by a native Venetian family, it is also incredibly affordable for this high-ticket city. Near Piazza San Marco, too, so its perfect for every kind of tourist or business noshing. A small, historic, charming spot with a separate space for those who wish to just nibble cichetti and drink a glass of wine, Trattoria Da Fiore has the beamed ceilings, warm plastered walls and dark wood seating and white table linens all typical of Venetian eateries. The menu is Italian and Sergio and his two children pay particular attention to the choice of wines. The house specialty is pennette da Fiore for two with olive oil, garlic and seven seasonal vegetables, though some swear by the zuppa di pesce alla chef brimming with just about everything that swims, perhaps followed by sgroppino al limone to finish. Youll find Trattoria Da Fiore full of both tourists and locals, and something of a triumph.
