Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Less touristy, more casual bakery with delicious pastries and friendly service. Very enjoyable. (If you eat the pastries standing in the nearby small plaza, you will be immediately swooped upon by a brigade of pigeons.)

Popped in for a baba and was pleasantly delighted that this was a local hang. Great baba and yummy coffee. Quick service! And you can even get an Aperitivo if you want!

Delightful place for an Italian breakfast on a side street behind St Mark's. No seats, but there is a small bar inside (and two outside) for you to sip your coffee and eat your pastry. Many locals were popping in – we were some of...the only tourists. Really nice pastries – we had a selections of cakes, croissants (filled with jam), and biscuits. Cappuccinos for the adults, milk for the kids – and they had decaf coffee too, which was lovely.More

This hidden gem, down a quiet alley near San Marco served up delicious cakes. You can tell it is popular with the locals - we were the only non-Italians when we visited. We visited twice, and each time there were new selections of pastries and...cakes. Very reasonably priced, delicious cakes and friendly staff, this is a hidden gem that should be visited by all.More

I loved this coffee bar. It’s tucked away in a quiet street that’s close to the tourist area of San Marco and Palazzo Ducale. My husband and I were the only non-Italians there and we thoroughly enjoyed our coffees and pastries. An excellent quick breakfast...spot that won’t break the bank. (Visited in April 2018)More

Tiny place hidden in a side street. We get here as TripA recommendation and it was a good choice. We have ordered a pistachio and brownie cake. Both of them were very tasty.

This small pastry shop serves up big flavors. I enjoyed the flaky artichoke pastry (with tomato sauce), chocolate puff/éclair, and something that looked like elephant's ears. All were heavenly, and the staff was super friendly.

This actually turned out to be the final pastry shop we went to during our time in Venice- for me we saved the best until last. We had actually tried to visit once before but (perhaps due to Covid) the opening hours weren't as long...as Google suggested. I'm so pleased we persevered. The savoury pastry I tried with olives was phenomenal, the custard and fruit tart, likewise. Everything was wrapped up with care and service was both quick and friendly. Such a central location- this could easily be a tourist trap, but is anything but.More

This small hole in the wall summarizes everything luxurious yet cozy in Venice. Not much space inside but the two ladies behind the counter are so fun and friendly! I strongly recommend the mini pizza pies, especially the simplest one with just tomato and anchovies....An espresso and a an apple pie on top and you are ready to walk another hour or two.More

I can’t speak on the pastries because we only nipped in for a quick coffee. The size of the cappuccino was a little larger than others we’d had which was a nice wee surprise. At €1,50 a pop it isn’t a bad deal at all.

We came across this place by accident. Everything I bought was amazing, and I wish I’d bought more! If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll make a point of going!
