Being a vegan in Italy is not easy, in Venice it’s pretty difficult. Crepes by Pepe is very accessible, decently priced for Venice, and the food is fresh and good. On a wet, cold day it offered hot food and a friendly welcome. Even on this miserable March day it was busy and I hope they’re able to expand outdoors in better weather.

It was a delight to have crepes as a breakfast here. Though a small place but the owner is very friendly and soft spoken..he makes fresh sweet or savoury crepes in front of you and to eat these warm crepes with a calm atmosphere around elevates your mood for the day. He has lots of different tastes and flavours.. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. A must visit place when you are in venice. Donot miss!!!

This is a tiny little place on the side of the canal, what can I say, the food is just incredible and the staff are so friendly speaking both Italian and English (maybe more). Offering a large range to suit just about everyone with Vegetarians and Vegans catered for. Possibly the best vegan Cafe Latte in the area.( Decaffeinated too)

I am delighted to have found this wonderful, unique little place. If you want healthy delicious crepes, to take away this is ideal. I have never seen such a range of healthy fillings for crepes and the owners too time to help me through the impressive menu options. Everything is freshly made, so 4 crepes did take a little while, but I have no complaints about that. Bravo to the innovative owners! And Grazie!

I wish we had visited here every day. While I absolutely love Italian food, after being lucky enough to have it every day after a week of travel, this crêpes option was not just a welcome change but an excellent option. Made fresh and with great ingredients (and with love) you really shouldn’t miss this delicious - sweet or savory- treat.

If you are in the area or even if you aren’t you will not be sorry you came here. Best crepes we’ve ever had, quiet street on a canal, wonderful proprietors who are from Venice— but nevermind all that the crepes are so good we basically couldn’t speak while we were eating we could only say mmmmmmmmm! They have savory and sweet, all are incredible.

I found a crepe place a short walk from my airbnb and decided to try it. I am glad I did as the crepe was really yummy. Over the next 6 days I tried a variety of crepes and never got a badly made one or one that didn’t taste amazing. I highly recommend their crepes and the couple running it are friendly.

Best vegan crepe shop ever! Pepe is an absolute legend and the service, food quality and overall vibe of this little shop are amazing! I am not a vegan but I do have an allergy to egg which makes finding breakfast options in particular quite difficult. These crepes were outstanding, it’s always such a special treat to find alternatives to great breakfast options like crepes! I also had a coffee and it was perfect!

Lots of choice of sweet, savoury and vegan crepes. 4 or 5 seats inside but we ate ours outside (watch out for seagulls!). Crepes made with buckwheat flour were thin and slightly crisp and our vegan ones were stuffed with apple, granola and caramel. We would happily eat there again and again.

Maybe they're the richest savory crepes we've ever eaten. If it catches you on the way they are also ideal for a meal with the 3B: good, nice and cheap. Plus the owners are a real charm. The only catch is how little space there is to eat there, but come on, it is very worth buying them to go.

After visiting Venice and struggling to find vegan food options, we did a little bit of Googling and found this place, which has rave reviews and sounded amazing. So we walked 40 minutes and got there at 2:45pm, we checked the opening times before going and they were open until 3:30. When we first got there we could see 2 employees sat at the front of the store while we were reading the menu, then when we tried to open the door and were struggling (because it was locked, even though there was a ‘we’re open!’ sign) the employees walked into the back after watching us for a moment. After a couple minutes of struggling to open the door we decided to leave, then the employees came back out and sat and watched again. Just seems like very weird behaviour from a business, if you’re closed just change the sign to say you’re closed? Don’t sit there and watch customers struggle to open the door, then run off and hide in the back until you think we’re gone? Would not recommend at all, highly unprofessional and just very strange/bizarre way to act.

Dear Jet, Trip advisor is famous for review out of ordinary so, after many happy reviews, something always comes up. Starting from the fact that the "two employees " are the owner of the place, seems very rare to me that you struggle so much as our door it's always open when we are in business. I think that my best answer to you review are the review before your. Trip advisor decide to keep you review so I had to answer you. You get your 5 min of attention. This won't stop us to continuing as we start

These crepes are sooo good! Varied menu, to suit vegetarians too. Fresh, tasty and in a quieter area so you can perch on a stool and watch the boats go by. Affordable lunch for us on a budget. Staff were friendly too. Highly recommend.

After 10 in Italy and eating pizza, pastas and breads it was a delight eating here. The crepe was delicious and nutritious. The only complaint is they need more tables outside to sit and enjoy this affordable unique meal. Definitely going back for another meal before leaving Venice!!

Came here with low expectations but my god was I wrong. So yummy, after I ate it I wanted more. The only reason I didn’t is because it’s surprisingly filling. LOTS of vegan options which is rare in venice, it’s right by a less populated canal so it’s not loud and the sunset view is amazing. My parter had a non vegan one and basically inhaled it. The prices are amazing as well and service was quick and super friendly. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!!!

We never miss to stop by Cocaeta every time we visit Venice. Giulio takes great care in preparing the food - the wait may be long but it's really worth: the ingredients are very fresh, and the combinations very original. If you can, try to be there at the moment of opening, it may save you some time. Ciao Giulio!!

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
