This cafe was close to our hotel so handy for a Spritz (€4) each time we walked by! Outside tables got sun by the canal in Nov. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient.

Lovely spot to enjoy a drink canal side. I would say pricing is pretty consistent for Venice, outside the major squares and main tourist drag. Really enjoy the neighborhood and hope it remains more Italian than touristy to maintain its authentic, quiet charm.

Nice atmosphere, very reasonably prices for Venice and friendly staff. This is located a little bit more outside the city center. I loved the fact as city centre is way too busy for my liking and I like to have a little more room while...More

Had breakfast here. We were impressed by the setting (by the canal on the fondamente ormesini) the friendly owner and the best brioche con crema that we tasted in our week in Venice.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
