We stopped in here and managed to snag a seat. We had a drink and used the FREE rest room before moving on to the next bar. We did not try their snacks but probably should have done so! Service is friendly, and the prices...More

Diffrent little sandwiches with meat or sea food. You can choose all diffrent. They have fantastic Amorone wine. The place is very little and if you are lucky you can sit inside. If not you can stay outside having a nice view on the canal....More

The ultimate place for cicchetti! Really, even if you are staying way, way away, this certainly is worth the trip. Tiny on the inside, only about 20 seats, but you can stand by the canal and enjoy your cicchettis while watching the gondola repair dock...More

I really enjoyed the cicchetti at this restaurant. We ordered a couple and each was better than the next. My suggestion is to go around lunch time to grab a little bite and sit and relax. This place gets very busy in the evening and...More

Good variety of wines and small snacks. Unlike some other similar places, here there is even some space inside to sit (4 small tables). The variety of different chicchetti (italian version of pinchos) was large - everything was fresh and of high quality. Of the...More

We have been lucky enough to travel to Venice on many occasions and now consider this to be 'our' bar. Talking to other customers we find that they also consider it to be 'their' bar - so they must be doing something right in this...More

This was a delightful stop as we wandered around Venice. The small place serves delicious cicchetti, small sandwiches served on crostini. We were there around 5 pm and there was a wide variety of choices including some for vegetarians. They offer a nice selection of...More

If you get the chance to visit this fabulous bacari in Venice please do so. It is a tiny place in the back of beyond but so worth hunting out. The atmosphere is buzzing, the wine is ridiculously priced and so good, the choice of...More

Happened to pass this place as locals were queueing out the door. Well worth joining the queue for some crostini snacks and some drinks. Great atmosphere. Will be back some day.

A nice place by the canal with cheap and good sandwiches. It's possible to sit down inside, but most people stand outside by the water. Don't expect an amazing culinary experience, but the sandwiches are good, the atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly.

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and
heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's
collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries
cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica
buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob

Yes they have a few without or I am sure they would bring some from the back with no bread. It's very small and they are accommodating.

Al Squero is the only Osteria in Venice exactly in front of the Ancient Squero of San Trovaso. There is no other place where appreciating from its window the construction or restoration of original Venetian gondolas. It is a cozy and comfortable place where you can share with friends a glass of Italian wine and taste an appetizing “cicchetto” at a small price. The selection of wines you can taste or buy at Al Squero comes from small regional wine firms of Friuli, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto, so that it is guaranteed unique care at the quality and distinctiveness of their products.
