With the largest combo of food (5 items, antipasti, vege, rice, meat and sauce), a bottle of wine and desert, expect no more than 35 euro bill. Fantastic food, authentic service and fantastic outdoor vibes. Quieter than the Main Street, great place to people watch.

Went with friends. Delicious food however the place is so popular we had to wait for a table reservation we had booked and also wait for a time for food to come. However it was such a pleasant experience with the most friendly staff and delicious flavours it was all worth while.

We stopped here after a full week of eating Italian food. It was very reasonably priced and was delicious! The staff was very helpful and spoke good English.

We did not expect this restaurant have such tasty food but we pretty much ordered most of the main course meat dishes and all were delicious! We found this place as we were looking for a Halal place near our hotel (B4 Bellini) and were pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth a visit if you're after Halal food. Only negative point I... This is the place to go if you're looking for halal food in Venice. The place is nice, with Arabic vibe. The price is very cheap, you can get 3 types of dishes for only 11 euro and it's a large portion. The staff are very friendly.

After reading the reviews I was looking forward to eating here. However I was severely disappointed. The food arrived cold, it had no seasoning or taste and was definitely not fresh.

After touring around Venice for the whole day, we happened to be around Orient Experience, which serves food from different Middle Eastern countries. I wasn't sure if we wanted to have dinner there since I remembered people had mixed feelings about it on the reviews I had seen. But we were too tired to go somewhere else and we needed... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
