Vecia Gina just happened to be the closest place to eat from our hotel. I am so glad it was. Full of locals eating superb pizzas. What a wonderful place.

Just in front on the vaporetto stop (S'Elena) a small but nice restaurant. They serve (manly) Pizza and Polentas. We had the Pizza and they were quite good. Reasonable priced Friendly staff, service was fast.
We came here with our children. They had the Pokémon pizza with wurstel and fries (who makes up these things???), I had a pizza Napoletana and my wife had polenta with mushrooms and sopressa. Service was very quick and friendly, the food was OK. What...More

A regular stop for coffee or light lunch, for an evening drink, or a meal - the pizza and the baccala are legendary. And the fried olives as a starter - don't miss them! Staff are lovely, we love Vecia Gina's!
Always was closed at prime times. Suggest hours from 7am to 3pm. A good 8 hour day. To be fair, the area around it seems quite abandoned. ☹️More

Wanted to enjoy a traditional pizza in Venice and stopped by. Nice atmosphere up in there at S'Elena, friendly service and most of all - delicious traditional pizza!
Grazie...siete molto gentili...a presto.
Stopped here after walking from Rialto via San Marco. It is, by the way, a delightful walk. Near the end of the Arsenal Park, near the military school is a community with this sweet little cafe, Vecia Gina. It is spotlessly clean, well staffed with...More
