Traditional stand-up refreshment for locals on the go but also very welcoming to tourists. Cakes, biscuits, great coffee and what the bar tender called the best hot chocolate in the world. Not quite but certainly delicious.

Delicious donuts with vanilla cream filling! The best patisserie in the centre of Venice, near to San Polo!

My husband & I called into this place because it had been recommended to us by a friend and we're so glad we did! It was a cold misty day and standing at the counter drinking a thick hot chocolate was just what we needed! No powders and sugar just melted chocolate and milk...perfection! We then got a couple of... More

We stopped for cappuccini first thing in the morning, or for macchiato if a bit later, or espresso, or for hot chocolate in the bitter December cold, and it was always wonderful! Cornetti were always fresh and delicious, and pastry fantastic. We enjoyed the apple-honey and the almond pastry, but still talk about the marzapane cake and how silly of... More

I been the best tiramissu store in Venezia and the staff introduced 'Pasticceria Rizzardini. Before I leave Venice, I just stop by. But OLD lady served with horrible attitude and the sweets they sell taste really bad. Never go there!!! #venice #terrible #badservice #rudepeople #tastybad #tastyterrible

I stopped in, after eating the street food from Acqua & Mais, for a little dessert, & enjoyed a piece of the dense almond cake (mandorla), but if you are a pastry shop fan, it is not one of the more interesting ones.

We stayed a few doors down from this place, and after a morning of terrible jet lagged effected sleep, we went to this pasticceria and got two cappuccinos and a pastry. The pastry was warm and fantastic. We only got one to split, but the next day we got two! Definitely a go to place for your trip to venice.

We stopped in here for a casanova and some cappuccino. Both were exceptional. Prices were good, and service was fast and friendly too.

Family-run bakery on a tiny back street with an incredible array of homemade cakes and pastries. Pop in for a coffee and watch the locals stop by for their espressos too!

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
