We had been wandering around the old Jewish Quarter in Venice and felt like lunch. We were enticed into this place by the outdoor eating area. It was in a shady garden adjacent to the canal. There were four of us and we all ordered...More

My wife and I went to this area of Venice to see the Peggy Guggenheim Gallery, (which was great), and stopped here to eat before taking the bus-boat back to the Casio. The resturaunt has a great location for view the canal and taking in...More

Dined here on my final night in Venice with my partner. The indoor garden is very pretty and scenic, though the vaporetti seemed keen on honking their horns which spoilt the atmosphere a little. Although we were seated promptly, the rest of the evening was...More

As a solo traveller on a budget, I allowed myself one decadent dinner and after hesitating on where to go I entered alla palazinna... What a brilliant decision! I opted for one of the set menus for €30... Sardine soar is definitely a venetian delicacy......More

Decent place for midday snack/lunch. We tried pasta with seafood and pasta with duck sauce. Their house Cabernet was a good companion for lunch. We enjoyed garden seating and watched all the canal boat traffic passing by. Decent food and view.

We had reservations at another restaurant using the trip advisor booking plug-in, but restaurant was closed on Sunday. Trattoria Alla Palazzina looked quite nice from outside and menu looked good for seafood. Was not at all disappointed! My wife and I split everything,so we had...More

Very good service. Wonderful food. Recommend the grilled scallops, and my husband loved his vegetable and been soup. As a main we were recommended the T-bone steak for 2 which was beautifully cooked with seasonal veg. Will definitely return.

It looked pleasant and the garden setting sounded good, but all downhill from there. The water bushes would blare their horns right beside you every two minutes. Menu was pricey even for Venice, but what came out was even more disappointing. The food tasted okay...More

Maybe it was because the waiter who originally seated us went off service a few minutes later and it was between lunch and dinner but service wasn't up to much. Setting very good, foo ( except for the dreadful bread) was pretty good but service...More

Myself and my boyfriend spotted the restaurant on our first day, so decided we would treat ourselves to a trip there on our last night. The garden restaurant did not disappoint, with a lovely atmosphere and views of the river through the vines. As we...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
