It's the cheapest place in Venice. Believe you won't find a place like this. The pizza is way better than the ones you eat in restaurants and you only pay 6 or 7 euros for a pizza for two. The ice cream is also very cheap and so tasty!!! If in Venice, this is a must go place

Quanta Basta was convenient for us because it was close to where we were staying. During our Sta we had pasta, pizza and gelato. The gelato is great and the pizza is good. We always had the pepperoni you could get a whole pizza for 7 euros. The 4 cheese pasta was 10 euros and the gelato depends on the... More

This place serves pizza, kebabs, ice cream crepes and more and is very reasonably priced, with a large slice of pizza for just 2.50 Euro. However, we were looking to order a Nutella crepe which they weren't able to provide for some reason. Apart from this it is a pleasant place to go for a quick something to eat.

Hopped in for a quick dinner and found the food pretty decent in terms of choices and price. They had a great choice of pizzas with an XXL size available too. It was huge. Pepperoni, margherita, and any other toppings. Freshly doughed and baked! The seating is limited though but the service is quick. If you have a limited budget,... More

We stayed in Venice only week and our funds were limited, so we tried not to spend too much, except if that is food. We had food here few times, slice of pizza, kebab, all is so tasty. Friendly staff - Ali, thank you and your colleagues! We could not afford much, but they were nice to us. Possibly our... More

One of the best services received in Venice. They are open until very late past midnight. You will always find a friendly face to attend. Great pizzas and awesome kebabs. Beware of the hot sauce on the kebab, it is a mix of Turkish and Mexican spicy punch. Also, in the same locale, you have excellent gelato and café.

Just minutes from the train station, this place was a great find for us. It was the best pizza we tried in Venice and maybe all of Italy, all for a cheap price considering the location. The people who served us were friendly and accommodating. There isn't a lot of seating (if I remember, just one table). However, we enjoyed... More

This place is a little gem I actually found it the last time I came to Venice in January and couldn't wait to come back unlike the rest of Venice where you get charged to sit to eat this place actually makes it cheaper!! We had this massive Margareta pizza for €12 ish instead of €13 ish if we tuck... More

Our hotel was right down the way from this sweet little place. We met PRC ALIT the 1st night, making pizza and passing out smiles and cheer. What a warm welcome to Venice! be sure to order your personal pan pizza freshly made. The pasta was good to, and the beer was icy cold. The little garden out back was... More

We chose to eat here the first night off our flight. We were tired and didn't feel like running around to find a restaurant and this on was just down from our hotel. The pizza was wonderful. We had a pizza and wine which we ate in the back garden. The staff is very cheerful and helpful . Its nothing... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
