Great ice cream. We tried a few different places and this was by far the best we had . It was also a lot cheaper and with bigger servings than most . Fantastic

Home made, on the higher price side but still very delicious and you get what you pay for. We had three different flavours and they were all very nice.

If you are in Venice and you DON'T go to enjoy this cheap and incredible gelato you will regret it! Where ever you are make the trek here, we read it was closed in Winter but this proved to be an error.

Ended up here after having dinner in the area, and had the most amazing forest fruit (and strawberry) ice-cream I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this place if you haven't tried gelatto in any other place in Venice ;)

Good but not great gelato. The flavours were good, but I didn't find it to be as smooth as most, and I had a few hard ice chunks in one of my flavours.

They make their own gelato. Found it smooth, fresh and tasty. Went there three times with another couple. Be advised, they will not provide tastes of flavors if busy. If they are not, you still have to ask.

Lovely little ice cream parlour, decent ice cream. Two cones, with two scoops each came top 6 euro....not bad.

I was recommended this place out of all the (literally) 100s of gelato places in Venice. When I got there it didn't have the biggest selection it's quite small and the owner was busy chatting to her friend. However I ask for two scoops and I got the biggest ice cream I ever received! It took 20 minutes to finish... More

We loved the ice cream from here, it was next door to our hotel so we ended up trying a new flavour each day. I really recommend you try it

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
