We visited here on our first night in Venice. Having tried to get a table (on the canal) at a few restaurants along this road, we finally secured a table in the garden ( outside space through the restaurant ) and were so glad we...More

We went here on a thursday evening and were lucky to find a free table at the waterfront. Very friendly staff and simple, but very nice food. Much better than all the average joints in the tourist areas.

Searched for a place relatively near our hotel and found Bea Vita. No reservation shortly after they opened on a Wednesday night and had no problem being seated outside on the canal. Shared a caprese starter, and each had pasta for our meals. The pasta...More

We had the Seafood Spaghetti which was fantastic, but I cannot tell you how disappointed we were with the secondi. Both the Tuna and the Steak didn't live upto expectations. However, great service, drinks and desserts. If you just stick to Pasta you will really...More

We sat by the canal next to a lovely Italian couple who told us that we had found a very authentic Venetian restaurant. I still dream about the mussels & clams. Our food was incredible, the staff was fantastic and friendly. Best meal we had...More

We stumbled across this gem walking around Cannaregio and booked to come back with a group of 8. Great food and service. Pasta was beautifully fresh, seafood was tasty and complementary grappa and limoncello to finish with. Worth another visit but we ran out of...More

On a recommendation from our kayak guide, we spent an evening at Bea Vita. I can't express how grateful we are that we did! The best food we had in Venice at a more than reasonable price and a very unassuming atmosphere. Would highly suggest...More

During our week in Venice we only went back to one restaurant twice and it was this one. Good food and reasonable prices for Venice make it well worth a visit. Would recommend the tuna in sesame seeds as main the scallops to start and...More

Here in Venice for just 4 days. Had evening meal twice in the week. Busy little place. We had 3 courses each Inc wine and spritz for around €90. Was worth it compared to other places. Recommend the tirimasu and gnocchi. House white also excellent

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
