Lovely little square away from the crazy crowds. Friendly helpful staff . Great food and reasonably priced.

We'd been recommended to go to Trattoria San Toma by the owner of an apartment that we had rented nearby. She said it was the best in the local area so we gave it a try. The staff were friendly and attentive, and happy to cater for different food allergies. The menu lists about 20. The owner made the point... More
This food was from the north east of the country the waiter explained it in detail we had no idea what to order so we left it with the waiter and what a good idea everything from the soup to desert was lovely he gave us all a different dish put them in the middle so we all could try... More
This would be a good place for lunch out in the square, with great pizza on offer and a wide menu. ( is that an advantage, I suspect no ).Very simple for an evening and for me, not special, though you cannot fault the welcome and attention, but it was very quiet with only 3 tables occupied. The service was incredible. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and the server was extremely friendly. The food was outstanding, typical Venetian cuisine. Right around lots of cute shops. We definitely recommend this place.

The first time we stopped in was for lunch, as our walking tour had just ended. For lunch, we had the caprese salad and the crostini with arugula. Both were excellent. The house red we had to drink was also tasty.... More
We met with a Venizian friend of ours who knew the place and the staff. We had mixed seafood for a starter and as main dish pasta with crab meat, both very good. In addition a nice white wine. It was a quiet Sunday evening and the staff gave us their full attention.
This restaurant was recommended by one of the local shops and did not disappoint. The restaurant is conveniently located in the San Toma square and you won't miss if you are walking to/from San Rocco and Rialto or San Marco. Though the main dish is a la carte, the quality will not disappoint you. We had monkfish, Orata (sea bream),... More
