This place is fantastic. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and made our visit something to remember. We were greeted outside with complimentary wine to sample and since we had a few minutes to wait before a table was ready, they brought out fresh pasta to sample. The prices are reasonable and our meals were great. Would highly recommended this... More

This place was great. A short walk from the Rialto. Service was super fast. The spaghetti carbonara was authentic.

So this place is just fun! We tried for "off the beaten path" which is hard on a tiny island ;). But the staff here is just fun :) fabulous house wines reasonably priced - including a great Cab! Great food, cookies and dessert. Coffee too. Free wifi, staff was just super friendly and welcoming in a not annoying tourist... More

I was literally wondering the alleys looking for ravioli when I crossed paths with a waiter that handed me a glass of red wine. When the owner heard me struggle a bit with my English and his waiter's Italian he came out to encourage me that it would take till just 8:30 or 8:40 to find us a table. He... More

We pre-booked this restaurant prior to arriving in Venice and were welcomed by the offer of free tasters before to entering. The food was excellent - the service was excellent and attentive. We arrived at clearly a very busy time and felt a little rushed. However putting that to oneside the place was an excellent example of Italian hospitality, cuisine... More

We came to Venice looking for a lovely, local, friendly and tasty reataurant and this ticked all the boxes. Everyone was friendly, the food was absolutely amazing and the experience as a whole was perfect. Exactly what we were looking for and would definitely recommend.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
