For a typical Venice experience the terrace is perfect for dining outside! Candles, tables cloths and view on the canals. But Because if this it is probably also very touristic. Besides that we were not very enthousiast about the food. The dishes we want it...were finished so we could not order it anymore. And the dishes we could order were not so good.More

I ordered ravioli. The ravioli are three (3). Very tasty. Still only three (3). My friends are still laughing at me. So are my friend's friends.

Worst service ever! Me and my newly wedded husband was on our honeymoon and went to this restaurant because it looked cozy and just by the water. It was pretty crowded but we got a nice table outside. When the waitress finally got to our...table 25 min after we arrived, we ordered a glass of Prosecco to start off with and some water and then we wanted some pasta and a bottle of wine. Time past by and nothing happened and we got really thirsty since it was also 30 degrees. After a long time we got the food and the other waitress noticed that we didn’t got any of our drinks yet. So she called the waitress who took our order and we got our food with the drinks and the same time. At this time they asked if we wanted our Prosecco but we didn’t, since it was meant to be a starter before the food. The food was okay, but nothing to brag about. We also asked for an ashtray which came 15 min later. We didn’t want to stay at this restaurant so we asked for the check which also took a long time. The one star is for the red wine, because that was a good one. Can’t recommend this place to anybody!More

We came to this nice lookng restaurant in Venice what we did not know was it would be the worst of our whole trip. We got sited at our table the same time as another couple, after this the waiter did not give us the...time of day. We ended up waiting 25min before we could order at the same time the other couple had gotten there drinks already. We where celebrating our honeymoon and wanted to start with a glass of Prosecco while waiting on the food. So we order food and a bottle of win and ask for the Prosecco and water while we waited. 30min goes by and still nothing, not even the water. And what comes next our food of course. The drinks come later and when everything set she asked if we stil want the Prosecco, we say maybe after, hopping the food will at least lift our experience and we hopefully still get a good night out. But no, so food was below average. And you can of course guess that the check also came very very late. All in all a very bad experience that I could not suggest anyone.More

We had a great view to a small canal with sorrunding houses, and English speaking service. However, we often had to ask for basic things (bread, salt and pepper, ash tray, etc) and the food was very over-priced compared to what we got. Really disappointing...fish, and the vegetables was overcooked and too basic (peas, aubergine and pepper), the potatoes serving was very small and I could go on. Despite the great reviews the place had prior to our visit, I don't know what happened. Can't recommend.More

We found this lovely trattoria 4 years ago whilst wandering in San Polo, and only found it again on our latest visit. It was like we had never been away, sitting in the same seats as before with the same views. Great find and great...location. Sitting in the winter sun, looking at a pretty canal. Great bottle of white cold wine, great soup and tiramsui, good service.More

Trattoria Al Ponte del Megio stands about a 5-minute walk from the hotel, where we stay in Venice, so we usually dine there once during each visit, with mixed results. On our most recent stay in December, we enjoyed our meals as well as the...service and ambiance. As soon as we entered the warm restaurant on a cold evening, my husband and I noted the scent of cabbage soup. the night's special, in the air. This brought back lovely memories of winters in New England when my mother sometimes made this always-delicious soup. It was about 8:30 p.m. when we entered and the restaurant's two rooms were almost full. The greeter took us to the one vacant table and told us about the special, which we ordered along with a mixed salad and a spaghetti dish. Everything proved to be nicely seasoned, tasty and good comfort food. This restaurant does not offer fine dining but rather a nice, casual, dining experience. The servers are pleasant, professional and prompt. We especially like the location, which is off the beaten tourist path in San Croce by a small bridge. Our bill came to 34.50 E (about $37 U.S), which included a big bottle of water and the bread cover charge.More

Just want to start by saying the starter we shared was absolutely beautiful! I then ordered seafood spaghetti & my partner had the gnocchi. I ate my pasta but wouldn’t say it was great. This could be my personal taste but I’ve enjoyed seafood pasta...much more in other places in Italy/Scotland. My boyfriend enjoyed his gnocchi, first time he had tried it & said it was nice comfort food. The girl serving us was nice. I’m only giving 3 stars as It was maybe my least favourite pasta dish while visiting Italy.More

Great location and cozy restaurant. Service was great as the waitress was kind enough to let the kitchen know about my shellfish allergies and to let me know what I could eat, etc. Highly recommend the “scaloppine” in lemon sauce. Good value for money!
