Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

How do you describe in words a lasagna that is so delicious, you're still talking about it a full year later? Of all the incredible food we had everywhere we went in Italy, their lasagna was squisito! Incredible! We sat at one of the outdoor...cafe tables and enjoyed watching the people and the comings and goings of the canal in front of us. But the food blew our minds. Full 5 stars, no doubt.More

Wanted the perfect location for our daughter’s 18th birthday meal and found it here. So picturesque with a table right beside the canal overlooking a gondola stop and little bridge. The location is all you could hope for in Venice - beautiful setting with old...fashioned lanterns glowing later in the evening. Our daughter has very plain taste so she had tagliatelle bolognaise (thought that wasn’t a thing in Italy!) and I had lasagne - both very good. Husband ordered gnocchi but ended up with pasta as they had run out. Disappointed with the mixed veg - imagined it would be Mediterranean veg but out came a plate with cooked carrot circles (the way I do in a hurry at home), boiled cauliflower and canned peas. I’ve given the review 3 stars as meal a little disappointing (but still good enough for the plainer food we chose), service slow but we loved the location and happily soaked in the ambiance, sipping birthday Prosecco. The breadsticks brought at the beginning were delicious. Staff very friendly and very hard working. All that’s needed is slightly better food and all would be perfect! PS Great place to do a gondola ride from too - mainly small canals with only a little time on the Grand Canal which can be very busy. Beautiful quiet area in May.More

Lovely location. Beside a small canal with a Gondola stop outside. The menu was average and the food was also average. Presentation was not great. Service average as well. All in all an ok meal. But i would not rush back.

After two late trains getting into Venice, we were pretty hungry and tired. Although it was busy and we didn't have a reservation, the staff accommodated us after a short wait. They set up a table for us right next to the canal, which made...for a perfect setting. Our waiter was friendly and hard-working. Our food was delicious (sardines, grilled sea bream). A very nice start to our visit to Venice.More

Great place with seats near the canal. It has places also inside but outside is a quiet place near a small canal. Good venetian food and good service

Nice setting near a little canal. Food was just average in comparison to other meals we had in Venice at the same price point. They got one item in our order wrong but at that point we had waited a while for our food, so...did not make an issue of it. The fried seafood I had was not as good as other places and more expensive.More

What a wonderful surprise - corner restaurant by canal that had lots of options on their menu. Great wine prices and my husband had a sea bass in pasta dish and my lasagna was fabulous - we enjoyed a cheese plate at the beginning (...you can tell we are Americans) and be sure to ask for Neus ( she won’t lead you wrong)More

Worst service that I have ever experienced at any restaurants anywhere. Went there with my wife and son for dinner. We had to wait for more than half an hour before the waitress came over to take our order. She was very rude from the...start. She rushed through our order not allowing us to ask any questions. It took another 25 minutes to bring our first course of salad for my wife and pasta for me and my son. Then another 40 minutes passed before she brought our second except my wife's. When we asked about my wife's order, she became very combative and aggressive. she insisted that she hadn't ordered anything. We asked how long to prepare my wife’s meal, she said I don’t know, maybe 15, 20, or 30 minutes. I asked to talk to her manager, she claimed that she is the manager. Her treatment of us was so bad that I was upset for days. This was certainly our worst experience at any restaurants.More

A really lovely dinner, by the side of a canal near a small bridge. Great service, matched by the lovely food. Would highly recommend by an unassuming evening dinner.

We somehow ended up here having a dinner, but we got super disappointed. The price/value is low, food is tasteless, eventhough we hadn’t ordered any extra: Octopus with sweet tomato souce and calamari with grilled vegetables. Both were way below avarage, for 20+ euros each. Ridiculosly...poor quality. The service was the same. We thought this place must be good, since quite some people ate here eventhough it was in off season and not in a frequent location. Stupid conclusion of ours…you can get way better dinners for the same price somewhere else. I regret to spend one of my dinners here.More

A great choice on their menu , pastas, meat, sea food for a reasonable...price. I recommend this lovely tucked away restaurant to anyone visiting Venice. Thank-you to the lovely friendly waiter who made our night special. HollyMore

Our family of five eat dinner here inside the restaurant as too cold to be outside. Location is just off the very pretty Campo de Giacomo da l’Orio. Table at the back was nice although the lighting made the place look a bit sad. Food...was just Ok. Gnocchis bolognese, garlic spaghettis and sepia nera better than the tagliatelle melazzane with dry pomororo no dry pomororo to be found once the dish served) .Do not order this dish. Prices were around 10-13 eur for the pasta dishes and 18 eur for the sepia. Be aware that once the coperto is added (3 eur per person) the dishes are not so cheap any more. Also 4 eur for a Fanta. We also ordered a contorni of veggies. What came was A bit of boiled eggplant, some green peas and a bit of khale. Quite dull but probably OK for someone dieting or avoiding salted food. Naturale aqua, frizzante aqua and quoter or a liter red wine were all fine and inexpensive. The tiramisus at 7 eur each were a bit too creamy (tasted just like butter) but the children liked them. Service was 0k. All together, I would not repeat but ok for a one off.More

A very modest looking restaurant with very good food and lovely staff. The tagliatelle with duck and mushroom was excellent. Wine choices a little limited.

For a typical Venice experience the terrace is perfect for dining outside! Candles, tables cloths and view on the canals. But Because if this it is probably also very touristic. Besides that we were not very enthousiast about the food. The dishes we want it...were finished so we could not order it anymore. And the dishes we could order were not so good.More
