Everything we ate was very tasty and also very good price. Any restaurant in Venice is expensive. Here you can eat very good, very tasty and also cheap.

I have eaten at Tian Jin the past five times I have been in Venice. Each time the food was excellent, as was the service. The owner and her staff were attentive and pleasant. I don't understand the poor reviews as my experience couldn't have been better.

The restaurant is off the beaten path, but near the Rialto bridge so fairly easy to find. They have a fixed menu of the day that includes a mixed appetizer, main course (sweet and sour chicken or vegetable) , and rice. Everything was freshly cooked and service was prompt. I definitely recommend it if you are searching for non-Italian cuisine... More

Last Tuesday I visited this restaurant which I have done over many years. I have always found the restaurant very welcoming and serving good value food. Me and my friend had a very enjoyable meal.

We were really disappointed with this restaurant, there are many beautiful restaurants in Venice but this IS NOT one of them . We were served food that was really poor.I ordered some vegetable noodles ,the vegetables were nothing more than chopped onions ,nothing else ! the dish was an odd brown color and stuck together in one mass,as for the... Ate here just by chance. My Kung Pao Chicken was very good but not all of my family was as satisfied as I was. The service was great and we got our food pretty quickly but it did cost 91 euro for 5 of us.

We had lunch at Tian Jin today. It was our fourth time at this restaurant, over several years. We had fond memories of our previous meals here. We weren't disappointed today. The vegetables are beautifully fresh, the sauces are tasty but not overpowering, and the meals are served hot. We note the horrified comments about the 2 euro cover charge.... More

Went to Tian Jin with my family whilst in Venice after wanting a break from eating pizza and pasta. The location was easy to get to, but the serving portions were very very small, if we didn't order an extra fried rice then our 3 main dishes would not have fed a family of 4. While the host was very... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
