Just wanting a quick bite to eat, we stopped in for some of their sandwiches which were quite fresh and delicious. It was very busy during lunchtime. Would definitely go back! It was nice to find an affordable place to eat in a city of very expensive dining options.

Drama-free, historical, authentic Venetian rotisserie, extremely popular among local residents for its "mozzarella in carrozza" (best in the world!) and "baccala mantecato", but in general highly respected for its unique and extensive selection of mouth-watering traditional recipes (mainly fish oriented) It is located a stone's throw from the Rialto bridge, and during my stay in Venice I had lunch, dinner... A great, authentic place to buy a quick and affordable lunch. It has some vegetarian options, although the arrancini contain meat.

A fantastic place for a full meal or a few mouthfuls of cichetti and an ombra of vino. The crema fritta (battered and deep fried custard) is an absolute must.

I went here twice in two days for a snack and toilet break. Very friendly place. Cheap and fresh snack food and nice, clean toilets. Much better place for a break then the public toilets in Venice. Amazing gelato place next door (Suso)

We arrived at our hotel in Venice in the afternoon just about the time most restaurants stopped serving between lunch and dinner. Our hotel manager recommended this restaurant to us as a good place to grab a quick bite since we were starving. It certainly fit the bill and was fast and very reasonably priced. The place reminded me a... More

Nice food bar with lots of local seafood varietes. You can choose from both hot and cold seafood. A little crowded space with a nice and local character.

This is a great place. Very authentic Venetian Fast Food hidden in a small street. You can try fried things from the counter, great appetizers and you can order dishes from the menu. Everything is very fresh. The atmosphere is very lively and it gets full at lunchtime and in the evenings. Prices are very reasonable.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
