Four of us has a very decent lunch here - all had seafood risotto after sharing from mixed antipasti seafoods. Good food and nothing goes wrong with the service. Definitely worth a non nonsense lunch if in the area.

One of the best meals on our Milan - Verona - Venice trip. Great Food, service and prices. Excellent food. BEST Gnocchi I've ever tasted (I don't even like gnocchi) in creamy butter sauce. Fantastic pasta in spicy sauce with shrimp. Excellent Taglia steak. My husband loved his squid ink fish with polenta (seppia Nero). Really great tiramisu. Fair and... More

Nothing is cheap in Venice, but what you can do is avoid getting ripped off. In other words, in a handful of places (such as this one) you can still eat well for only marginally more than you'd spend in another city. The service is perfect, the baccala` mantecato, sarde in saor and fegato alla veneziana are all wonderful (and... More

This is a little gem of a restaurant. On a side street close to the Accademia bridge, this family run restaurant is cosy and friendly, with very tasty food (try the profiteroles) and is very reasonably priced for Venice. We ate there three times and were served each time by Fabrizio who was really kind and patient and looked after... More

Excellent service! The sea bass and beef tenderloin w/peppers were superb! Delightful evening! TripAdvisor lists hours of operation incorrectly - they ARE open for dinner 6-10 pm! Give this little hidden find a chance and you won't be disappointed!

A delightful, small restaurant hidden away on a small street near the Ponte dell' Accademia. The service was excellent, very friendly servers and the food was reasonably priced for Venice and very tasty.

This place is worth to return to every year. We were never disappointed. This year on a neigbouring table a plate with mussels was served. Beautiful done with a baked cover. Very surprising and according to my neighbour absolutely delicious. We ourselves had fish with citrus: perfect!

The food was very good, but what made it memorable was the wait staff. Table of 10 native Italians, which would have been enough to handle (only 3 waiters and waitresses); but they treated us very well. Took time to give us some Italian lessons, even.

This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Venice. Unpretentious, well prepared Venetian food in a simple osteria packed with both locals and tourists. We had a big, shared plate of spaghetti with scampi and chanterelles after our visit to the Guggenheim. The service was great as well: friendly and to the point.

Thank timoroso

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
