Oh boy, this was a wonderful restaurant. Traditional food with fantastic flavors (both meat and fish), a nice wine and when you’re early enough a seat to enjoy the meals. Often people were waiting in front of the trattoria for an empty table to be...seated. The waitresses were running in and out of the trattoria to serve and always a friendly word in the passing by of another serving.More

Lovely place. Lovely people and good food. Is a bit small as a restaurant but they make you feel home. A good restaurant if you are in cannaregio

We turned up without a booking and after waiting 30 mins we decided to book for the following night. The setting is on a busy part of the canal and there is some outdoor seating. The food was delicious. I had fish lasagne and my...husband had prawn pasta. We had a tiramisu too which was to die for. Highly recommended!More

The service and the location was very nice, but the food was disappointing. I would not go again. Also remember to bring moscito repellant, there are a lot!

We were recommended this restaurant as a place that locals frequent, its food and location. We were not disappointed, the food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent and the waitresses so cheerful and helpful desperately trying to accommodate people as they turned up hoping...for a table. A reservation is a must here if you want to sit canal-side. By far the best meal we had in Venice.More

Sitting on the side of a canal in the heart of Venice eating the most wonderful pasta, and drinking their lovely house wine, was a dream come true. It didn't disappoint! This trip was taken pre Covid19, so I cannot answer the handwashing questions.

This place was amazing, portions were sizeable and we were sitting opposite a canal which was lovely. I loved my tagliatelle with scallops and mushrooms. Good service too. Google maps takes you round in a loop it’s to the left if you are coming down...the steps of the bridge.More

I would like to make absolute 5 star rate. They have the professional mind and service mind, but you need to reservation before to prevent waiting. I choose salad, seafood pasta, bolognese pasta and tiramisu. It was very excellent choice and I recommend for you....The price also reasonable to me.More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

It's right on a canal, but there are many canals in Venice! I'm afraid I don't know the starting place or route of the Carnival. Specifically, Bar Pontini is on the Canale di Canareggio, near where it intersects with the... More
