We went for dinner early, just after 6pm. Had a seafood pasta and a pomodoro. Both were quite tasty. Service was speedy.

Very good restaurant, simple plates but very fresh and tasty. Run by a family, nice atmosphere and great location (use the canal entrance).

Amazing food! Cooked to order and only tasting the flavors can make one realize why a trip to Venice was worth every hour on the plane! We had black squid pasta to die for and risotto that I shall never forget! The owners are the sweetest and most accomadating couple who added to the ambiance! Worth going out of your... More

I organised dinner for 20 of us the night we arrived in Venice. The owners were very helpful in offering a menu of delicious local dishes and flexible about our arrival time. New were warmly welcomed on arrival and even introduced to their baby son! A wonderful first evening in Venice!

We had dinner here on our last evening in Venice and wished we had tried it earlier in our stay. All three courses were very tasty: spaghetti alle vongole, insalata caprese, mixed grilled seafood, sea bass cooked in salt, tiramisu and amaretto semifreddo (home-made). There are some vegetarian options on the menu. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly.... More

We stopped for a drink one lunchtime as it looked a lovely restaurant. We sat outside, a great people watching location. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. When we saw the pizzas that were being served we ordered on. We were not disappointed. Sadly it was our last day in Venice. We will definitely return and have dinner there.

A place to remember. Where the real Venetian food is eaten. Where you feel welcome and every detail is amazing. One Of the few places in Venice that the tables are not closer. The best food!!!! Free Wifi!!! Un lugar atendido por los dueños. La comida exquisita. El postre de chocolate no dejes de probarlo. Un imprescindible en Venecia.

Our first dinner in Venice was here and we loved it. My friends had the seafood bass encrusted with salt. They said the fish was so moist. I had the ink pasta with squid and enjoyed it. Ws also had appetizers ans wine. Service was excellent. They served limoncello to end our meal. Good value.

We went here on recommendation of friends and it was well worth it. The service here is excellent, very friendly and happy staff. An absolute pleasure to dine here. We had local fish and pasta and it was just delicious. My only regret was that we couldn't come back a second time as we were leaving the next day.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
