Pizzas that we ate at this restaurant were very tasty and service also was very helpful and nice. Prices are also at very nice level. There is no cover charge or service charge.

After walking for 40 minutes from San Marco to get to this place, the following happened : We arrived to the restaurant and no one welcomed us; a young man was seated with 3 girls talking on his phone; we asked if we could have a table, we looked at us and literally pushed us out of the restaurant yelling... This restaurant was cosy and welcoming. The warm decor invites you in and the staff are polite and always available to tender your needs. The food was excellent, with a good selection of wine. Was surprised at how reasonable the bill was. This was the best restaurant in our four day stay, far better than the night before that cost... More

We went to this restaurant and ordered two pastas. Both dishes were served almost cold. Very disappointing service and food.

Found this little restaurant on our last night in Venice and was very impressed. Really lovely food at an excellent price. Great atmosphere, friendly staff - who could ask for more? Will be returning on our next trip!

First day at Venice and we were starving so popped in for their set menu. Do not get the fish menu. The seafood (mostly mussels and few clams, calamari) spaghetti was okay, but the main dish of "fried fish" per the menu was misleading. The plate came out with gone piece of shrimp, 2 sad looking fried sardines and mostly... More

Very reasonably priced menu with a good choice. We only had Pizza but very nice and lots of cheese! Wine was also good, nicely chilled... oh and forgot to mention the complimentary bread sticks! We will be returning tomorrow night for dinner and will probably for the rest of our stay! Good honest food at reasonable prices with not hidden... More

I would avoid this location. The pasta tasted like it was poured out of a can and the meat was very bitter.

We had 2 vegetarian lunches here on two successive days. Despite the non-flattering reviews on TripAdvisor, after strolling the mazy streets of Venezia for a while and walking past this restaurant a couple of times looking for something decent, we decided to go in. We were not disappointed. Food arrived relatively quickly and was good for the price we paid.... More

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
